Dir en grey announce one off UK show

J-Rock heroes Dir en grey will return to the UK in August for a one off headline show.

The band will play London's Koko on August 12. Tickets go on sale this Friday (April 15) at 9AM from www.aloud.com.

"I'm thrilled to play in UK again. I personally like Koko very much, it's a very nice venue," said guitarist Die. "The last show in Koko was great, and I'm looking forward to the next one, as we aim to one-up ourselves this time!"

Well I would be excited if they wouldn't just keep playing London all the time....

What about the rest of the fans in the rest of the UK??

I love Diru and I really want to see them, I would travel if I could but still.... hopefully on their next tour they will do a full UK tour and play a date in Cardiff.^^

Tickets go on sale in 3 days and believe me when I say I'm getting them as soon as the clock hits 9AM! So glad they're coming back; I thought I'd have to wait another year or so until their next gig in the UK. Very, very happy.

I went to the show at KOKO last year :D
it was awesome!

Absolutely stellar performance last year. Had a few problems with the sound, but it happens - plus now they will be more familiar with the venue so I am rooting for the best UK show yet. And less catfights, girls!

The only reason I'm incredibly excited about this show/tour is because I know soon they'll be coming here to the States. I wish they could also play other places they haven't before but I cannot wait!!

A friendly request for anyone who is going to see Dir en grey on their U.S. or U.K. tours w/ the VIP package... please check this out: http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/9/18/2102929//DeG_Fan_Message_2011.png - read it before you judge harshly, and if you wanna bring this to hand to the band at yer backstage meet, just right click, save, find, right click again, choose print, then select "scale to fit media" and "print in grayscale." If you want, make a wall-post with this and try to get other vippers in other cities to do the same.

Also, somebody made print sheets with some of the band's songs in kanji/romaji/katakana/english. It would be neat if the VIP fans printed some of these out and held them up during their meet / Q&A with the band... and yes, their translator usually does ask the fans what their favorite songs are at some point in the backstage meet (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXaJ9cLsGGI&feature=related at the 0:52 mark.) So it's not "being rude" if you print out one of these and hold it up quietly during the meet rather than blowing your voice out trying to yell out song titles above everyone else when Nora asks.
