Fugazi are to archive 15 years of live recordings to make available online.
The band - who have been on indefinite hiatus since 2003 - are currently converting thousands of DAT tapes and cassettes in order to create an exhaustive online archive.
"We've been working on this project for two years now," guitarist/vocalist Ian MacKaye tells Approaching Oblivion. The idea at the moment is to start it with 100 shows. Then put 20 more on every month or something. We're still building the site, it's an interesting and complicated process. It's a fuck of a lot of work."
A number of live recordings are already available on CD and MP3. For more information, click here.
