A statue to the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was unveiled in a park situated in his hometown of Aberdeen, Washington yesterday (Tuesday, April 5).
The memorial - a sculpture of one of the frontman's Fender guitars - was made to mark the 17th anniversary of his suicide on April 5, 1994.
"I first moved to Aberdeen right after he died," says sculptor Lora Malakoff says of her , "and I was always surprised there was nothing here to memorialise him."
