Last Month we teamed up with Macbeth Footwear, Blink 182 / Angels & Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge and You Me At Six's Josh Franceschi to help find a band to open the Kerrang! Introducing Stage at next weekend's Slam Dunk Festivals.
And we can now reveal that the lucky band who will be joining K! faves Blitz Kids, Lower Than Atlantis and Don Broco are... Adelaide!
The London-based quintet were chosen from hundreds of entries by Tom, Josh and the K! judging panel.
"We are chuffed to bits to be opening the Kerrang! Stage at Slam Dunk," says the band's frontman Daniel Nash. "Winning has completely knocked us for six!"
"I really liked Adelaide above the rest of the competition," Josh Franceschi tells K!. "I'm looking forward to seeing them at Slam Dunk!"
Josh's fellow judge, Tom DeLonge, feels the other five finalists - Follow You Home, They Say Fall, Red Kyte, As We Climb and The Rookie League - also deserve a special shout out.
"The calibre of entries was really high this year," says Tom. "I think Red Kyte has a unique sound! They were the obvious runners-up."
Slam Dunk takes place in Leeds on May 28 and Hatfield on May 29.
