BVB are a pathetic band, they DON'T deserve to be where they are, fair play, they're doing what they love, but people need to listen to the music, nothing makes them special, the vocals are amature, the music is amature, I will give this album a listen when it comes out on Spotify but that's about it.

They're doing what thet love and I'm proud of them. Seeing them live in febuary was the best night of my life, there all such amazing guys and meeting them was amazing.

Normally, I am against people saying shit about other bands, but there is something about this band that just piss me off. The have an amazing guitarist =...such wasted talent and a 12 year old lead singer who wears more make up than most girls do in a life-time. What I love about Kerrang! is that they cover all music, and hell, you might hate some of the covers they have, or the bands they like, but you can't deny that they do their damn best to show all the bands that are playing, recording and releasing at the minute. Maybe you don't LIKE BVB being on the cover, but thats a problem you have with the current music scene, not with K!

I love BVB, Fallen Angels is an amazing song and I can't wait to Set The World On Fire with them :) Roll on the UK tour!

I was interested to see them at Download festival when i go, but based on the music i've heard, i can't understand the hype.
There is plenty other bands that i don't like out there, but i can understand why people like them still. Just not these guys.
If no-one else is clashing with them at Download, i may consider seeing if their live performance can change my mind. Alot of bands come across better live.

I think it looks ok, I love black veil brides as a band and not just andy, I mean the whole band. in my opinion this does not look as good as perfect weapons but I've listened to the full song and I love it so the music video is not going to change anything for me. I am a teenage girl and andy is hot but so is Ashley and I listen to there music because I find the lyrics more , for me, Andy Biersack fans do annoy me because the band is not him like many of you have said.
But one thing I do want to say is we all have our views and if you don't like them then don't read about or listen them, I know kerrang have been publishing them A LOT but just don't buy it. the hype will die down, to be honest I only buy kerrang for interviews and posters of my favorite bands and 90% I just throw away because it's not to my taste. but hating on fans is not right no matter who it is...

As a matter a fact as a mom of a BVB fan when I first seen pics of them I told my daughter she was insane because I am child of the 80's and grew up hanging out with Montley Crew, Kiss, Twisted Sister and other bands alike along with dating Bret Michaels when I was in high school and I like alot of people thought they were just gonna be another glam band that came and went. That was until I took my daughter to one of their shows and got blown away by what was coming out of the mouth of a 19 yr old kid to his fans about what they have all gone through in their lives and the ridicule they endured along with the ass kickings and that is why they put together BVB, so everyone that has ever felt like an outcast or like they didn't belong or wasn't wanted would always have a place where they could feel like they were somebody because they are and that is with BVB and the army because with them they will never be put down again and will be accepted for who and what they are. I literally got tears in my eyes listening to him because I myself went through it, and that is when I myself became a BVB fan. I am a 43 yr old overweight mom and the guys have accepted me for who and what I am and have treated me with nothing but respect everytime they see us which is what they do with all their fans and that is why it offends me when people that don't know them the way we do feels they have the right the talk shit when they haven't even taken 2 seconds to try and find out what the guys are all about. I had a very long conversation with Andy's dad on the phone and he explained to me what that poor kid has gone through just because he was different and had a dream to become a rock star and perform for the world and it broke my heart, but what makes me feel good is that through his drive and determination his dream has come true and I am so proud of all the guys for what they have accomplished in their lives with being so young. If hating someone for persuing their dreams and making them come true is what people want to do because they themselves don't have the drive to do the same thing, then we all say let them because the hate only makes the army stronger. And thank you for at least wanting to give them a fair chance and going to see them perform, I hope you enjoy the show just as much as us army members do. But I promise you the guys are 5 of the nicests guys you will ever meet in your life, both on and off stage.

ok so over in the Europe scene Black Veil Brides might not seem like a lot... but in America they are growing into a big hit. their fanbase has become monumental! some like BVB's looks more than their music... and that is a bit of a problem...
first of all i am a big fan, and so are countless others. they may be mostly girls, but that doesnt mean they only like them because Andy is yummy. ha. i admit i do think the lead singer is cute also; but thats not why i like them. their music is great and they are inspiring. they are really sweet people, that actually pay attention to their fans... what?? bands are being nice to their fans?! the world is over!
at the beginning of 2010, no one knew who Black Veil Brides was. but now look where people have gotten them. they have made Kerrang! countless amounts of times, they have been featured on at least 2 pages in Alternative Press 4 issues in a row. their band is taking off, like it or not.
i have been around posers who claim to like them for more than Andy. its upsetting when they like BVB just for him... but i have also been around people who love them for who they are, and what they stand for... actual dedicated fans!
Black Veil Brides may have a different look and sound that most pop/hiphop crap music out there today dont; but thats no reason to be a hater!

What happened to Kerrange featuring decent bands? Back when I was teenager Kerrang featued orginal bandslike Pitchshifter, Carcass, Obituary, Type O Negative, Paradise Lost, Sepultura, Godflesh, Therapy?, Biohazard, White Zombie. None of those bands were considered "scene" bands back then (in fact they were all ugly bastards) but they created amazing music.

15 years later what do we have? A load of bollocks unoriginal crap where looks are judged to be more important than decent songs!

I'm fourteen years old /here comes the prejudice/, and have a curiosity towards Black Veil Brides. I guess their music is alright, but their image to me is totally unoriginal. Especially the whole 'Fallen Angels' thing. Like there haven't been hundreds of Twilight rip-offs written on that shit already.

I have their first album. I wouldn't listen to it regularly, but I wouldn't skip most of the songs if they came on shuffle. I'll buy 'Set The World On Fire' out of curiosity. And to be quite honest, the album artwork is absolutely shit. Who did the Photoshop on that?

I agree with most of the people opposing the matter of Black Veil Brides being the 'most original new band' and so on. Generally the fans are around my age, and total retards. They usually don't know how to string a proper sentence together and they always say the same things which have been recycled over and over again like "BVB r myy iinsporatonn <3" and "BVB saved mii life so manii timez ((:". That never says anything good about to fanbase.

As for the band, fair play to them for getting this far and all. But if they want to make it in the long run, they should really just strip down the makeup and costume and become a rock band rather than scene fashion icons.

@Davey Jones here's why I think BVB are a good band. As musicians they are all actually very talented. They have good guitar riffs and solos. Andy Biersack might not be the best vocalist ever but his lyrics have a lot of appeal to the bands fanbase. Their image is clearly inspired by 80's hair metal so yes its not totally original. Of course I don't expect to change your mind but people with a different opinion to me don't piss me off like the majority of fans. If I have one problem with the band it is the teenage girls who just cry when someone says their favourite band suck.

So yeah... thats the opinion of an 18 year old guy on why BVB can be considered a good band. They will never be the best band ever but that doesn't bother me.

Black Veil Brides have been my favourite band since the video for knives and pens was released yonks ago :D I'm so glad they are doing so well and rising in the music industry like they deserve. I'm not obsessed with BVB but I don't mind their music.
I am in fact 13 but I don't listen to the music I do because of the band's image. I listen to the music because I like the music. And I'd like it if people stopped including the people that listen to bands for their music with people who fancy the lead singer :/

"We made our first video [2009's Knives And Pens] independently, while our second [2010's Perfect Weapon] was made with no budget when we were on a small indie label," the singer explains. "Fallen Angels is the first video we've made with a full-on crazy budget and crew and things like that. The whole shoot was rad."

I liked Knives And Pens waaaaay better than this, it's just not... it, know what I mean?

I do hope that the album isn't totally drenched in that theme of yours, the song is ok, but really, if the album is as dreadful as the cover, consider me a los fan.

There are so many ridiculous and pathetic comments on here its funny to read them all. Where do you start with this then?
Im not a BVB fan, never have and probably never will be. I do side with those that think they aren't unique because lets face it they're really not anything new or different. To all those BVB fan writing awful comebacks with mistakes all over the place don't bother because if anything your giving them a bad image moaning and bitching. And finally they are where they are because certain radio stations and magazines (including K!) push them in the first place.
Don't see the hype with them, much better stuff out there. Give it a couple of years and people will shrug at the name BVB.

These guys are amazing, have their first album and i so cant wait for their second ;)

Right I really dont see why people are making such a fuss!! If you have a problem with bvb don't buy the fucking magazine with there faces on the front cover!! Personally I like them and can't wait for the new album. And yes I am a 14 year old girl but I don't just like them for andys looks! And I think that all you people who say that's the only reason girls like them should grow up and give us some more credit!! We're not all shallow kids who would listen to music even if they didn't like it just because of their image! And bvb are living the dream so stop your moaning and give them some respect!

Can't wait to hear it. The fans are intense, love you guys too. I'm 17, for all of you "dissing" idiots around, not "some 14 year old girl claiming that andy's just hot." I respect the band for following their dream, not for their appearance. I dress like them too, so what? You going to make fun of me too?
