Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong produces son's band
Have you been wondering what Green Day have been up to since they finished their 21st Century Breakdown world tour? Well allow us to enlighten you!
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has been busy producing Don't Be A Dick, the debut album by a band called Emily's Army, which features his son, Joey, on drums.
Don't Be A Dick will be released in the US through Billie Joe's own Adeline label on June 14.

@ Joe, Don't give a shit how old they are, the song is terrible, as is the band, Why should they get any recognition just because of who his dad is? They stink.
And since they're clearly little rich kids I would expect them to be a lot better considering they will have all been tutored from a young age.

Considering the drummer is the son of a very famous bands frontman, who are generaly (in my opinion) very good song writers, this is a bloody disgrace.

anyway, EA is an awesome band and maybe that´ll be as big as Green Day some day.
Not great, but not terrible either. To be honest they don't deserve the publicity just because the drummers dad is the Billie Joe Armstrong... They should make themselves famous for playing great music, and this song certainly doesn't show that.

I think it's rather bad that when it started I thought "Why is Billie singing...?" then I realised that it wasn't him.
Maybe these kids need to get their own style of singing, rather than copy a legends.

I LOVE EMILY'S ARMY!!! I've loved them for around a year now and have got a signed vinyl from them - they are soooooooo awesome!!!! :)
I've been listening to these guys since the beginning back in '08, and tbh this is quite shit but this is probably one of there not-so-great songs :P

Okay...
I'm never mocking Justin Bieber again. Honestly i hate to make the comparison but aren't they a little young for all of this. And to be honest this song is ummm... AVERAGE. They are only little and I'm sure they'll grow to be an amazing band but if look at the best rock bands of recent years most of them are in their 30's... Their music needs to mature and find their own style. LOL, I'm only 13, maybe I'll be dating one of em soon... :P

as good as it is to see kids of musicians sharing their parents passion that song is dire. the lyrics are so immature ill be supprised if the kids arnt embarrased by it within two years. who knows in a few years when they have matured a bit they might actually be pretty good but they need to do some growing up before they are ready to make anything even close to decent music

lol nearly as bad as his fathers band,
green day are a terribly over rated band who lack any songwriting skills, all powerchords nothing else and i actually cringe listening to them.
and basically just trying to give his sons band publicity like this is so dumb

Haha I enjoyed this! Something of 'Your Favourite Weapon' era brand new going on. Obv early Greenday too. A fun raw pop punk track which is shed loads better than what most my-first-bands come out with.

I mean I love Green Day but I'm not gonna like this band because of that. To be honest I really don't like them and If it wasn't for Billie Joe's name being on this article then I probably wouldn't have bothered to see this. Its just another average Teen band.
