Mastodon reveal further details on The Hunter

Mastodon have issued an update regarding their follow-up to 2009's Crack The Skye, which will be released later this year.

The album, titled The Hunter, was recorded in Atlanta and Los Angeles with producer Mike Elizondo (Avenged Sevenfold), and is set to feature the following tracks: Curl Of The Burl, Dry Bone Valley, Blasteroids, The Octopus Has No Friends, All The Heavy Lifting and Stargasm.

From tomorrow (June 28), fans can log onto Adult Swim's website to download Deathbound, a rare and previously unreleased song from the Crack The Skye sessions.

Mastodon will play Sonisphere at Knebworth on July 10.

Metal Hammer whoring out awards more than MTV. They gave Sonisphere best festival award this year before the festival has even happened. What a lot of bullshit.

Where the fuck did the Mastodon hate come from? Fuck me, even the community on the ultimate-guitar website has pretty much nothing but praise for these guys and they're pretty menstrual about shit in their news column. Loved CTS and definitely have this as an album to watch.
