Charlie Simpson announces solo UK tour

Charlie Simpson has announced a solo UK headline tour.

The Fightstar frontman will release his debut solo album Young Pilgrim on August 15.

Charlie's new single Parachutes has been released as a mini-EP and can be heard online here.

Tickets for the shows are on sale now at www.gigsandtours.com.

His solo material sounds really good and hopefully people will see that its not related to the stuff that hes done in the pass like some people take the piss cause of him being in busted and dont give his music a chance which is unfair of them to do......Even when he was in Fightstar he was getting criticism for the same reason.

Well in my opinion Im always willing to give artists a chance to redeem themselves and Charlie Simpson has really come out of his shell with Young Pilgrim even though i miss Fightstar tbh cause i really do like there music but saying that you cant deny the talent that he has.

Im looking forward to the new album and seeing one of his shows. :D

I liked Busted. Even though they were manufactured somewhat, they brought guitars to the kids. I saw them a couple of times (under the guise of taking my nephew and niece!). I have seen Fightstar many times and also like their stuff although I was less than impressed with their last live performance. I haven't listened to Charlie's solo material yet but I shall listen with an open mind and judge him for his music and not the preception that it is uncool to like someone because they used to be is a hugely popular band!
