Dir en grey release video for Different Sense

Japanese rockers Dir en grey have revealed the video for their new track Different Sense.

The tune features on the band's upcoming new album Dum Spiro Spero, which will be released in August.

The video - and an interview with the band further explaining the album - were featured on ArtistsDirect.com.

"We live in a world where we don't know what is the truth and what we should believe in," says the band's bassist Toshiya. "We just wanted to put some hope into the music we created."

The title of the album translates to the Latin phrase "While I breathe, I hope."

I'm in love with this video. Seriously. I've waited for so long for that song (and I'm still waiting for the album!), and when I heard it for first, it was so cool I had to rape the play button.

Amazing band always has been, never disappointing! once again an awesome video, at first it was hard to get the tentacle porn part but after watching the whole video it actually fits in x_x once again a strong imagery that we wont forget ^^;
On another note, can't wait to see them this summer at their european tour!!!!

Th best PV you ever made IMO!! I love the scenes when you turn from normal into those zombie like octopus humans. It looks fantastic!

My mind was totally blown by the song and the video. I haven't heard a great solo by Diru in a long time. Its good to see them implementing it during the song, it gives it a unique cutting edge feel and adds to the emotion of the song. I'm in love with Different Sense and can't wait for Dum Spiro Spero to come out. This summer just got better.

honestly to me . it was their best song that was ever released. at first i didn't care for the video, but i'm finding beauty in it .
I love it :)

the only reason why i can't wait for the EU tour (i live in US) is because i'll have DUM SPIRO SPERO in my hands by then.

Dir en grey never, never fails to deliver. Once again a fantastic single and to go with it an outstanding video. They are my favourite band and I can't wait to see them again in August when they come back to the UK. And I anticipate their new album due out the beginning of August will be well worth waiting for.

Dir en Grey are undoubtedly some of the most unique and talented musicians on the planet. I think, however, their philosophical side doesn't receive due credit. It's a vital aspect of my appreciation for them. It's a pivotal part of their music, even, as many reviews at least briefly mention the band's attention to atmosphere and lyrics. Different Sense is just another shining example of that degree of depth that this band possesses. In a way, I'm proud of them: they are one of the very few things in life that has thus far failed to disappoint me. That, in itself, is "hope" enough for me. I look forward to their upcoming album.

Different Sense is just such an amazing and surprising song, reaveling a deeply perfect upcoming album. It made me trembling, and I know my heart will explode when I'll finally hear Dum Spiro Spero.

Can't wait for the new album, can't wait to live it during the Euro Tour. Thank you for everything !

The genius of this piece of music, the emotions it conjers, the ease with which it skips around genres, loosly basing itself on an ambitious sense of fleeting and in a fell, casual swoop disarming the legions of pretenders.

I love it! I really love it. The emotions are going right into the heart and soul and it's a song I can listen to over and over and over and over again - and it won't become boring! The text is awesome too and the PV is crazy, sick and definetly great!

I love the video. It's grotesque as fuck, glad to see them back to this. Could've done without the anime tho I reckon! Song is just fantastic, I'm anticipating the album so much now, if one song can convey so much emotion and power then the album must be absolutely incredible.
Can't wait to see them back in LONDON on Aug 12th, hopefully I can meet them all for the 3rd time =] woowoo x

Mind.Blown. I had a huge smile on my face through the entire video, though that may seem odd considering what the content of it is; but I've been listening to Dir en grey for a long time now and this video truly shows how much they express themselves artistically both visually, and musically. I'm very happy with DIFFERENT SENSE and simply cannot wait until DUM SPIRO SPERO comes out, I have no doubts in my heart that it will be absolutely fantastic. Dir en grey gives me faith when I have little left. As for the upcoming EU tour, unfortunately I'm not able to be a part of it considering I live in Canada.. but there's no way I can miss it if they decide to come back to Toronto! <3

Amazing song! The teasers before made me kinda hesistant, but after hearing the whole song, my mind was changed and it's such a great song! :D

Its a very high successful single and from the first moment i was listening to the song, i was totally blowed away. The song is so energetic, so agressiv in the start and so full of dynamic, that you can't stop listening. The hard guitar riffs, the melody and Shinya-san's Drum seems to fit perfect together and underline my feelings of the song. And there are lot of feelings coming to my mind, if i am listening: angryness, despair, sadness but also hope. Different sense is the absolutely best title for this unbelievable great song and its not just the inventive Sound, that makes this piece of work to something special, also the text cannot stay unnoticed. Kyo-san did a great work and the meaning of the text comes again in the powerfull dynamic sound.
Between...the Video Clip really impressed me. There is nothing more to say,just that its a amazing work. I thank them for that and looking forward for dum spiro spero and the concert in Utrecht.

There is absolutely no band like Dir en grey and i will never stop supporting them, because for me , they are a true light in all that normal unimportand shit in the world. They make special and impressive music - never stop.
