Disturbed to break up?

Disturbed vocalist David Draiman has hinted that the band might may break up.

In an interview with Idaho radio station KQXR, the vocalist stated: "This is gonna be the last tour that the American people get to see us in for a while, if not indefinitely."

The metalllers are currently out and about on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Fest, but have no idea what the future holds.

"We don't know what we're doing... We're not gonna do our own thing either," says David. "We have some things going on internally, we have some personal things going on. So I don't know. It's hard to tell."

I saw them at Donington a few years back and I couldn't believe how many people were into them. I can't remember hearing another band, barring Status Quo, who have made a living out of rehashing the same song/riff/vocal melody, astonishing.

I doubt they will split. Why would you give up on playing infront of 10,000 people a night? I would never get sick of that. People in bands don't understand how lucky they are. must be pretty hard on the mind though.. being away from loved ones, and what have you! I've never been a massive fan of Disturbed, like a few of there songs! But. I wish them the best, I hope to see them return one day in the future!

Here is hoping that this turns out to be true and they do split. A band who keep turning out the same album over and over again. Shit band no real loss to the music world.

No great loss. They've only ever recorded one decent song (Stricken) and the singer is a bit of a bell end. DD - "Good evening Manchester...errmm....Birmingham...errmm...where the fuck are we again". Crowd - "Nottingham, Nottingham, Nottingham". Ouch.

I managed to catch Disturbed in Glasgow last year, good band, good set, though the pathetic over-zealous Papa Roach Fans ruined the entire show with their presence.

David's engaged, I believe the band are taking some well-deserved time with their Families.

They'll be back.

Messiah, sorry to disappoint you but I'm not one for dropping anchor in poo bay. However, even if I were so inclined, it wouldn't alter the fact that Disturbed were blown off the stage by Papa Roach every night on the Taste of Chaos tour. Fuck, even Halestorm & Buckcherry were better.

At least Papa Roach's albums have different sounds. They are amazing live and the guys are all nice. That is what helps make a great band.

I saw Disturbed live in Sydney Australia this year & they were awesome! Stage set up was amazing & David sounded great. Are they the greatest metal band out there? Probably not, but they had some fucking great songs. I personally loved all their albums. In a world where a 14yr old boy who sounds like a girl can make millions, if Disturbed end it will be a loss...

I saw the RockStar/Mayhem show in the SF Bay Area.
I thought their stage setup was the best I have ever seen. A real "experience."
But...the focus of the band now seems to be the singer and his non-stop wailing. Every chance he had, he would hang every note out to dry.
Go back to The Sickness/Conflict.
