Korn, P.O.D. and Flyleaf members join to form The Whosoevers
Lacey Mosley of Flyleaf, former Korn guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch and P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval have joined forces to form a new collective.
The Christian band members have united with others to form The Whosoevers.
In a statement on their official website, www.thewhosoevers.com, the collective have written: "Imagine people just like us, that were once left for dead... Now with hope, life and love... connected through a worldwide movement."
"No one has to be alone. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The site includes a blog section where the band members will be posting updates and photos. Check out a video from the collective below.

This offends me. I can respect gospel. Gospel is positive. This is disgusting.

Religion is also one of the most bigoted things around, not to mention the type of control it has on groups is astounding. I have no problem with people being religious, its everyone's individual choice, however its pretentious crap like this that irritates a lot of people. Stop cramming religion down our throats if we wanted to find a "God" we'd join a religion, go to a place of worship etc. I don't want to hear about preachy crap when I listen to my music

@Anton and Mel: I think people such as yourselves should stop bitching. It's not being pushed in your face, the group are just trying to express their message in an inteligent way, unlike many religious people. If you don't like what they say, just don't listen to them. Simple.

I am a fan of HEAD's solo album, it is really great, as it sounds like KORN but with actual positive, inspirational lyrics, also a HUGE fan of FLYLEAF and P.O.D. are pretty great too. This is an interesting side project that, yes, has been around for about a year or more, and yeah they have been touring the States, and unfortunately not UK yet. Wether they are 'forcing' religion down people's throats...no, like any expressed opinion, you can look away if you don't dig it. But look, there are so many confused, lost, sad situations and people, at the least this band is just trying to offer hope simply. Even an civilised, respectful atheist could see that we all need to start to help each other in society, stop thinking of ourselves-which we're all guilty of. Communities need to come together-wether through the help of Christians, Muslims, Jews, Aetheists, agnostics, whoever...this is just one group of religious believer of society, but they truly wish to help the negative effects of Western lifestyle and living. No harm in that. Can't any bands-no matter what their personal, individual, spiritual or non beliefs express themselves? We have death metal bands, black metal bands, aethiest bands, agnostic bands. They don't seem to be asking for anyone's money, only wish to pray for people. You don't dig it, look to something else. Peace n love.

I'll just add, yes we know there are many dodgy televangelists out there, dodgy cults, (Scien..whatsits?), some people are weak, low, at vulnerable points in life, but everyone can usually make up their own logical decisions personally. In 2011, of course, we do need to tolerate and get along with each other, with many kinds of faith, non-faith, cultures, especially in this very diverse, multicultural country. Most religions have been given negative reputations over the years, centuries, but they also have many positive examples- William Wilberforce, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, C.S. Lewis...and many religions share a number of positive philosophical views on life-Buddist, Jewish, the ways of Jesus, as do modern 20th cenutry philosophers who did not align themselves with specific religons-Decarte, Wittingstein, Marx, Chomsky. People have many things which get them through life, but as long as we tolerate and understand each other, in peaceful ways we can all get along fine. Party on dudes, and be excellent to each other! Amen.

These freaks should get up off their knees & take control of their own lives!!!! THERE IS NO GOD!!!!! Get used to it!!!
You may it's not being forced down peoples throats but, say if I wanted to go see this for the music and to see these bands perform to enjoy their music, its then going to be the main focal point with all these people up on stage preaching to the crowd. I have no problem with christian bands and their own beliefs but I have a problem when they preach it like this.

Steve - to those who believe, no proof is needed. To those who don't, no proof will ever be enough. Better to believe in a God and find out there isn't one than to NOT believe and find out there is.
Anyway, with regards to this, I'll definitely check it out - as a Christian myself I am always a fan of Christian metal, and if a band has a Christian member - Slayer, Maiden, Megadeth etc - I'm always more willing to listen to them. I thought Head's autobiography was excellent and I really like Korn. That said, I've never like Flyleaf or P.O.D, but I'm definitely up for hearing it.

This makes my blood boil! All religion should be banned!
The world would be a better place without it.
Music is my place to escape from all the self rightous pricks so keep religion in the church for christ sake!
No for all our sake!

Haha, I love how angry people get over religion. It's been said before in the comments before this one, it's not being forced on you. If you don't agree with it, don't listen, easy enough. I really don't like Lady gaga and Kings of leon, but i can avoid them by turning off the radio when they come on, just put on a CD instead, and those are artists who are played almost everywhere. This is not a band who will be all over your TV or anything, so settle down.
If artists can sing about their sex lives in detail and release it as a number one hit, or headline heavy metal festivals with lyrics about raping whores and ripping their insides out, what's wrong with band's supporting religion? It's a lot less offensive, and just like music, it provides hope and support for millions of people.
I'm not exactly religious myself, but I admire those who are, for standing up for what they believe in in a world where so many discriminate them for it.

I might listen to them if it weren't for the idiotic anti-religion Brian 'Head' Welch.

Bunch of Morons. They should get with the times and know that the world doesn't need religion anymore.

@Elliott
What you speak of is Pascal's Wager, and it's a completely irrational and illogical mindset, debunked countless times by philosophers over the years.
@ Stephen Fay
If you lived in Bible Belt America, or parts of the Middle East, I don't think you would be quite so laid back about religion's dogmatic and fascist tendencies...y'know, casual hatred of women, homosexuals and non-believers.

Korn is playing at the 48 Hours Festival in Las Vegas in October. Avenge Sevenfold, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, and a ton of other great bands are performing.

Is anyone going?

they didn't force anybody to accept Jesus. It was their choice. you have free will. you are free to choose. God does not force people to come to Him, because He can live without you. But you can't live without HIM. God loves you, peace :)
