James Hetfield on Ghost: "I love the band!"

Metallica frontman James Hetfield has revealed he loves Swedish newbies Ghost.

In an interview with SVT, the metal frontman wore a Ghost shirt, and when asked about the former Kerrang! Introducing stars, James stated: "I'm in their fan club."

The vocalist/guitarist went on to explain: "I had no idea what they looked like until I saw the video. I heard the music first and I thought it was very great - very unique, very melodic and a breath of fresh air for metal.

"It reminded me a bit of '70s kind of rock that I liked as well," he adds. "So yeah, I love the band."

Good to see this band getting some promotion, whichever way it comes. Down were bigging them up at Download and now this? The only way is up surely. And sod the haters who don't get it, just because they don't scream or don't follow trends.

I absolutely love GHOST too! I bought "Opus Eponymous" the week it came out last October and have been raving about it ever since, to anyone who will listen! In fact, I even voted it Album of the year in last year's Kerrang! readers Poll! All hail the unholy GHOST!!!
