Enter Shikari have posted the first single from their forthcoming third studio album.
Sssnakepit was recorded in Thailand earlier this year with producer Dan Weller (Young Guns) and is now available as a downloadable single from iTunes. The as-yet-untitled album is set for release in early 2012.
The band kick off their UK tour on October 5 at Norwich UEA. Support comes from Your Demise and letlive. For full details, click here.
In the meantime, sing along with this lyric video...

bad really bad
"we're nice guys really, until we're not' that's disgraceful lyric writing. why can't they go back to TTTS? it was a winning formula. Political song writing is pretty boring to be fair.

TTTS has nothing on later releases, they get better with age... Like wine
This song cud've been better jus by adding or extending bits imo
AAAND "Dan Weller (Young Guns)"... Fuck Off... Dan Weller (Sikth), you knows it!

Yeah the "we're really nice guys, until we're not" is awful, but the chorus is inch perfect and the rest isn't too bad, TTTS people need to stop moaning about how the new stuffs nothing like it, and either like and accept the new stuff like we did with TTTS, or just stop listening and whinge-ing about how it's not the same, to be fair whether you like it or not it's good to see bands like shikari experimenting rather than sticking to the same sound each album!

Wish people would stop moaning about this stuff being not as good as TTTS when Its a known fact that Shikari have always been progressing and trying new things. They are never going to go back to TTTS style but they will constantly mix the new and old stuff together which is working really well. Destabilise, Quelle Surprise and now Sssnakepit all have a bit in them that sounds like it was from TTTS. So deal with it or stop your whining.

Sssnakepit is mind blowing, love the lyrics, the bassline and of course the usual political message. The lads have excelled themselves yet again and this is an awesome taster to their new 3rd album. Keep it coming guys - brilliant stuff.
Also Dan Weller is the dogs - well done to him as well x :D

@CJL @Eversince As good as FFAF and STTP are, Machine Head have easily got album of the year, Unto The Locust takes a hefty turd on everything you believe in musically, it's incredible.
And to the TTTS diehards, cap it. Yes, great album. All bands change, and if they don't, they become Status Quo: boring and unoriginal. Common Dreads was a really innovative move, it was perfect in a sense. Now the last three singles shown them pinpointing, and refining a sound true to them. I think it's an awesome one too.

@liam M your right it is the best album of 2011, and as much as i did enjoy common dreads (in parts) i just feel that TTTS is a better album all round. you are correct with the every band needs to change, cause every band i listen to has changed. it's healthy, but they have strayed too far off the mark for me to be a proper fan anymore.,
