Metallica and Lou Reed have posted a 30-second sample of The View, a track taken from their forthcoming album, Lulu.
The full version of the song will be released through online music retailers on September 26.
The 10-track album will follow on October 31 and is set to feature the following tracks:
01. Brandenburg Gate
02. The View
03. Pumping Blood
04. Mistress Dread
05. Iced Honey
06. Cheat On Me
07. Frustration
08. Little Dog
09. Dragon
10. Junior Dad

hmmm, lets try and spot the weak link here......it's not the guitars........not the drums......bass sounds pretty good.....hmmm, just can't put my finger on it. can anyone help?

Hmmm. The overall sound is good and juicy but I'm not convinced by the spoken vocal. Would need to hear more to be honest. If it's all like that I'm not convinced it'll be bearable....

Honestly from this it could have worked but Lou Reeds vocal comes across as weak and passionless could've been a rock masterpiece but fails. Oh well. Someone has a sense of humour...
