Black Sabbath plan reunion shows?

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has revealed that the original line-up have started rehearsing together for the first time since their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2006.

The band - completed by vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward - were rumoured to have got together in the summer to begin work on a new album following a story by the Birmingham Mail. Iommi, however, was quick to dismiss the claims, saying that his quotes to his journalist were taken out of context and off the record.

But in a new interview with Terrorizer magazine, Iommi says that the quartet have started playing together again and hasn't ruled out a tour in the near future.

"[We] played some of the old stuff and to be together again was great," says the guitarist. "We're all on good terms and we're at a stage where we can play together again. It would be good if we could and I suppose it's the closest it's been to be able to do that. It could happen!"

Fingers crossed.

While this would clearly be genius to see Sabbath live again, I paid to go to both nights of the Last Supper concerts a few years back so insert jokes about the rock n roll piggy bank running out here ----->

RIGHT ON! Really excited to hear the news!

A reunion of Black Sabbath, if they write new material? FUCK yea! I don't mind hearing the classics, but I want to hear a whole new set of songs that I can love and hold onto one more time! C'mon Ozzy, Tony, Geez, Bill! Give it to us long time fans!!!!

So they're reforming the original line-up again!?

I saw the re-formed band (Ozzy, Iommi, Butler, Ward) at the NEC when Fear Factory supported them in 1997.

How many times are they going to split up and reform?

Original sabbath must be a good thing. If only for the old school fans like me. P.s. I met Toni recently and he was so nice and down to earth it shocked me.
