Red Hot Chili Peppers announce two summer shows

Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced details of two summer shows which will take place next summer.

The band - who recently released their new album, I'm With You - will return to the UK in June for a show at Knebworth Park, Stevenage (June 23) and Sunderland's Stadium Of Light (24).

Tickets for these shows will be available from November 4 at 9am. Click here for more details.

Tom, they're not headlining Sonisphere. Their Knebworth date is weeks before Sonisphere.

Tom, just because they're playing at Knebworth does not mean that they're headlining Sonisphere. Check the dates, RHCP gig is 23rd June, Sonisphere is 6th-8th July.

Were an amazing band, but John (imo) was the pulse of the band.
Still blood suger sex magic, one of my all time fave albums.
And @Tom, playing shows in june, more likely tom to be headlining download (dumb ass). Looks like your going to soni then based on one band that is added to the line up, narrow minded idiot. Didn't you know festivals have different stages?

@Will, If I heard that they were headlining a metal festival, I'd be pretty pissed off too, it's not being narrow minded at all, and yeah he made a stupid mistake by not looking at the dates, but I would do the same if I find out RHCP would be headlining a metal festival. Internet hardarse much?

@AVR, love the fact you say they were better with john "back in the days" when they had three guitarists before him, and the main one, hillel slovak, was truely the greatest guitarist the chilis had, he shaped the band and made them unique, john just developed on that, without hillel there would of been no chilis in the first place, and no unplift mofo party plan, which is one of their greatest albums. Such a shame that everyone forgets hillel slovak.
