How shit is this?

The prodigy are a dance act, this is a rock festival.

Andy you complete idiot. You almost had an amazing line up. Suddenly it looks weak when metallica should of been the weaker line. Yes that's right Metallica who Andy Cooping said last year was a lazy booking by Soni, that they where boring and needed to go away for awhile.

Epic fail.

Don't whine about something you don't have to attend :P Sure they aren't a rock band. but they provide something different. then again, stubborn metallica/black sabbath fans never seem to be willing to try anything new, because it's not TRUE METULZ.

I'm one of those Metallica / Sabbath fans, and have seen Progidy live many times, including tent and Stage 2 at Donington! Stunning live and will surprise many if they can open their minds.

If not, there are four other stages - I'm sure Thunder will be playing one of them!

Yes their a dance act, but their also a live band, who play numerous instruments. Their music is 1000 times harder to play and proberly a 1,00000 times heavier than most of the bands that will play the festival - such as SOFT ROCK bands like Alter Bridge and Evenessence!!!!

Fuck yeah for being diverse!!!

luckily for the fans of sonisphere it means theres gunna be some kick ass bands at sonisphere now. Its goood that sonisphere hasnt announced yet and andy has wasted money on 1 awsome headliner Black sabbath and 2 fairly weak headliners.

Great lineup for headliners, I agree that Metallica are a bit of a lazy booking but they do deliver the goods so not disappointing.

To all the kiddies complaining about The Prodigy headlining: If you had half a brain you would know about The Prodigy's reputation as a fantastic live act who don't give two shits about what genre you try and pigeon-hole them into. As a casual listener to their music, I was blown away by their live ferocity and were certainly 'heavier' than a lot of metal bands I've seen. Give them a chance and you will not be disappointed.

And if you are still that narrow-minded about music because it doesn't fit into your perfect segregated genres, I'm sure whatever flavour of the month whiney-emo-twat band masquerading as a metal group Kerrang is currently bum-licking will be playing in the smaller tent at the same time and you and your deaf following the herd scene obsessed friends are welcome to them!

Jabba got it spot on, you people complaining are a bunch of fucking morons. They need to have diverse headliners which appeal across a wide range of genres.

The sad thing is, the majority of people complaining are probably no older than 18. So they never really saw The Prodigy in their prime.

I couldn't be happier with Prodigy headlining, even though i'm not a massive fan. Mainly because they are aparently amazing live and they will not disapoint, but also because it would be boring if we had three metal bands headling. A wider range of music is exactly what we need to make an amazing festival. Prodigy will be amazing, Metallica will be amazing and Sabbath will be amazing. if you don't want to see any of them, then either go and slit your wrists to some emo bullshit or just don't go. I wish people would start appreciating good quality music like Prodigy and Sabbath rather than all this stupid bullshit like My Chemical Romance and fucking LMFAO. if you don't like the amazing music being performed at one hell of a festival, the simple solution would be to fuck off :)

Gives the whole thing a different dimension, not a fan myself but the missus says they rock. Being a bit older I would love to see the Friday leaning towards the 80's in the same vein as Rocklahoma in the States. I realise it could have limited appeal but there is scope to assemble a strong day of rock, Crue, Poison, Ratt, Dokken etc just a thought. Also why has The Wildhearts always missed out on a good mainstage slot at any of the festivals? Surely a crime to have largely overlooked what is arguably one of Britains hardest working bands ever.
