Really, PETA-sponsored posters? The same group that uses and encourages terrorist tactics against legitimate animal researchers? The same group that would rather kill your pet than have it remain as a pet (as opposed to a "free" animal. I have news; we domesticated cats and dogs thousands of years ago; they were bred to live with us...) See here for stats regarding PETA's way of dealing with pets: http://www.petakillsanimals.com/downloads/PetaKillsAnimals.pdf

Just a heads up, PETA are not a cuddly organisation. If you want to support an animal charity, support the RSPCA, they do much better work without the support of dangerous fanatics.

FINALLY... people are noticing. K! is made for "scene" Girls. Oli Sykes nom nom <3 Andy Biersack FIT LYK. <3 ... I don't have anything against these two. Gotta feel sorry for them tbh.. No appreciation for the music they make whatsoever. init.

The fact that Lulu is on here while ASIWYFA's Gangs and Brontide's Sans Souci don't get so much as a mention kinda ruined my day. Got my respect back a little for putting The Hunter at the top spot though.

I would just like to say I am deeply offended by the PETA Poster special. If I wanted to encourage idiots I would buy the Dailymail. I think if you going to support those hypocrites, then you should have a special for the victims of PETA.
Kerrang! is not a political magazine it should not have that sort of content anyway. Sure, let them BUY adverts, but it completely wrong to have every bloody poster full of their propaganda.
Even if PETA weren't particularly a terrorist organisation (they known to associate with people who have committed acts of terrorism, nor do they say they against it) it be wrong.
You also wouldn't have a Poster Special for a True Charity.

Always great to read and pour through the best of the year albums at the end of each year in kerrang!_ been doing it since the mid 90s, when i got the end of '95 special, where you awarded Foo Fighters debut the accolade. And While Id give the nod to Beyond Magnetic(I know it contains music thats technically nearly 3 years old- its still the best stuff I heard this year!!), Im fucking stoked to see The Hunter get the top spot- Metal Hammer and Classic Rock gave it the same gong aswell. Now then- we come to the arguement - if you guys at Kerrang love Mastodon so much lemmy ask you---WHY DONT YOU PUT THEM ON THE COVER ANYMORE?? Look at the top 101-- Black Veil Brides get the final spot. What that means is that Kerrang thought that 100 other albums this year were better than Set the world On Fire. Yet, though Mastodon get the better praise for the MUSIC in the magazine- BVB get the cover story every ficking time, just because of their appearence and that it is tailor made for a target readership. Id rather a R or whoever. Former cover stars like Trivium, Machine Head, and Jesus, stadium slaying acts like Foo Fighters and the Chill Peppers dont make the cover much, if at all anymore. Its so bloody obvious that Kerrang would Rather write and feature bands like Mastodon on the cover more, but because of the fact that Kerrang put itself in a corner by centering itself to the same 6 bands all the time, its trapped itself. Next year lads- vary your covers and featured bands- think about the people whove been reading the mag for more than a few years- up until a few years ago you didnt give a shit about trying to please the same people all the time- you covered the bands you wanted to,weather it was a big scene band or not. Other than that- its a solid good list - Devin Townsend should have made the countdown-but it was awesome to see Animals as Leaders in there.

PeTA have probably PAID Kerrang to advertise that poster. That is how they work. They DO NOT rescue animals. They rehome HARDLY ANY animals. They euthanise them. Go and visit the website petakillsanimals.com. On there you will find the figures for how many animals they euthanised last year in 2010. OVER 95% of what they took in. They also lied to a recuse centre saying they'd take and re-home some animals for them to free up some space. They took them around the corner, euthanised all of them and left them in a dumpster, (skip). Their main aim is to stop all animal ownership. They are LYING to get your money. Your money does not go to saving animals, it goes on killing what animals they get hold of and the rest goes either in their pockets or on more advertising and set ups so they can get more sympathy money from the gullible public. Visit the facebook page Behind the scenes of the WELFARE of Circus animals to see how they are really kept. Don't listen to the lies and false propaganda that the animal rights people lead you to believe. Go and visit a real Circus and ask to see the facilities. The video of Ann the elephant was a set up by an animal rights organisation. Why did the groom hide his face if he didn't know he was being filmed? You do the math. Also visit circusthetruth.blogspot.com to read some mind opening submissions and show you the truth behind the lies.

although i like kerrang angd buy it a lot i think that they should cover more bands besides mcr,bvb,paramore,30stm etc
when is the last time we saw a foo fighters or greenday cover?
metal bands also deserve to be covered. bands like mastodon who are savage etc.
im starting to agree with the @j shadows and @andymark-kerrang is just for 12 year old girls who think theyre ''misunderstood''.
for god sake 12 year old girls go listen to whiny crap like coldplay.

They ALL pay to be in Kerrang!Especially if you're a new band then you have to pay! That's the way it works...it is a load of BS! Kerrang don't give a s**t about new bands and when they're bigging one up, it's cos they got paid to say it. THAT is how it works! You want publicity...ot anything else these days...you gotta flash the cash. It's a sad sad industry these days.

Wow! Lot of abuse for Kerrang! here, but why look up and write about stuff you hate, and, from the sounds of it, have hated for a long time.
Peta may have done some stuff they regret, but most people have, and anything that is by a website called petakillsanimals is going to be biased. I'm not saying it's incorrect, I'm jut saying you need to hear both sides of the argument

I do agree with what some people are saying here, feature some other artists bar 30STM, MCR, BMTH, YM@6 and BVB. (josh and oli have been in 3 of the last 4 issues..) I got this months Rock Sound magazine and they have a lot wider variety of music to share, very tempted to start getting that instead recently.
Also, Kerrang! Had Rise Against on the cover last year quoting they 'want to go global' yet you have only featured them about 3 times since, and none of them were huge. We all know the bands you feature lots, so shine some light on other bands like Rize Against or other bands!
