14 bands added to Download 2012!

Kerrang! can exclusively lift the lid on the next raft of bands for Download 2012.

Leading the 14 bands joining the bill are second-stage headliners Slash (Friday) and Rise Against (Sunday).

Joining the mainstage, meanwhile, are Megadeth, Black Label Society and Steel Panther.

Billy Talent, Five Finger Death Punch, Kyuss Lives!, As I Lay Dying, Fear Factory, Terrorvision, Periphery, Ginger Wildheart and Reckless Love complete the mammoth news.

For full details on Download 2012, check out the new issue of Kerrang!, on sale today (Wednesday, February 1).

Weekend tickets are on sale now from www.downloadfestival.co.uk and www.aloud.com.

Weekend ticket prices for Download 2012 will remain the same as the prices for Download 2011 until midday on February 2, when all ticket types will go off sale. All tickets will go back on sale at 5pm later that day with Weekend tickets increased to 2012 prices. Sucks, because I live in Australia. Some of the bands playing are a few of my favorites. It sounds like it would be fun with Five Finger Death Punch and As I Lay Dying. :)

It would be even more amazing if Of Mice & Men played at Download.

Great lineup so far.... Slash rocked when he played Soundwave 2011 in Australia. His set was the highlight of the day for me - even with Iron Maiden also playing!

why the hell are machine head on the same stage as chase and status they should be headlining the big stage with matallica and chase and status arnt even rock or heavy metal they have there own music called sissy rock
