Marilyn Manson will release new album Born Villain on April 30
Marilyn Manson has announced that he will be releasing his new album Born Villain on April 30 in the UK.
Fans wishing to hear a taster of new Maz materail can check out new single No Reflection in the video clip below, here on Kerrang.com.
"The new record put simply has the ambition and determination of how I started making music in the first place," Manson says. "It sounds like the first record in that it's not afraid to do anything. I had to remove myself from my lifestyle and start fresh."

First impressions: fresh, dirty, raw, alternative. It has several classic Manson style elements and also moves forward. Great song, a mechanical animalish punk rock kind of sound indeed, with some HW vibe too. Catchy swing, can see myself headbanging to this on a perverted red neonish light underground bar before shaking against a black and white wall with alternative projections on it. Can't stop moving to this so far! The song has a kind of subliminal constant tension floating, as if a terrible thing i about to happen - the synths on the bridge are an example - in seconds in front of our eyes, and the lyrics testify it. Apreciate the fact that the lyrics are more elaborate. Oh and the ah ah ah ah aws sound like a villains proper laugh love it! Easely the best single since GAOG album and it deserves a proper video. Promising album ahead... :)

my opinion: BORING SONG. not exciting at all, just like his recent performances...if i went to a random unsigned band gig i bet theyed have loadsa songs better then this, would be better if one of them we're releasing singles instead tbh. again, my opinion.

the positive:
the electronic start for the first few seconds suggested something new and interesting was to come
the negative:
oh dear. I agree with steven. if this is the best of the albums content, this sounds like a band on a rather steep hill. from an artist no longer giving 100% attention into creating music. do they even enjoy it anymore? his voice is lazily overproduced and the 'chorus' is basic and unexciting. a 10 yr old could have written it, so from a rocker only in their early 40s, it doesnt really inspire-which is rather ironic since this artist is usually known to inspire at his best. it is boring. you would never have thought this came from the same band as mechanical animals and the 20 track holywood-albums regarded as some of the best rock of the late 90s/early 00s. if he doesnt get his act together and take inspiration by either working with more artists for ideas or taking hint from some of his past works (i DONT like the drugs but the drugs like me) then there may not be many albums to go. you can do better brian!
