Green Day to record three albums!

Green Day have announced that they're currently working on a trilogy of albums.

The band have reunited with Dookie producer Rob Cavallo and are currently working on the three-album set - titled ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! -  in an Oakland studio.

"We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives," reads an official statement from the band. "This is the best music we've ever written, and the songs just keep coming. Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy. Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can't help ourselves. We are going epic as fuck!"

The first of these albums will be released in September through Warners.

Rob Cavallo seems to be the best way forward. I'm pretty sure he produced American Idiot as well.

I bet the first one will be amazing and the other two will be full of filler tracks. Hoping for a good set of albums but that's just how double/triple albums seem to go these days.

I hope that they are going to be three amazing albums rather than three average albums where they should've just made one strong album...
Eitherway, I'm most likely still gonna love them, haven't been let down by these boys yet!

as long as the move forward and isnt as borring as 21st century shitedown and billie gets his lyrics mojo back. they hit their peak with nimrod should promise with the album tracks on warning (the singles were the weaker tracks) then although it was for me american idiot was a great idea. but then i am an old bastard green day who bought dookie on tape in 1994.
