The Kerrang! Awards Fuelled By Relentless Energy Drink are go!

There's one time of the year that every rockstar dreads - the morning after this very magazine's annual awards ceremony. Our hangovers have just about cleared from last year's Kerrang! Awards Fuelled By Relentless Energy Drink and we're getting ready to do it all over again on June 7 at a top secret London location!

You can bank on at least three things at the awards: loads of megastars, tonnes of decadent behaviour and at least one member of a new band to have been sick before the ceremony has even started. It's always that good.

"I've got the guestlist for the 2012 awards locked in my desk drawer," says Kerrang! Editor James McMahon. "I can't tell you who's on it yet - but I can say that it's a line-up to rival all those times you read Kerrang! while eating cheese before bed..."

Starting this week, we're giving you the opportunity to show some love to the people who make your neck and ears hurt in the best way possible. You can nominate your favourite bands - in addition to a slew of brand new awards - in 18 categories.

I think BVB fans should GTFO because All Time Low deserve to win best live band again purely because they are the best live band. I knew Motionless In White would become the new Kerrang bumboys when I saw them on the cover, Just wait, the ''BVB Army'' will be the ''MIW Army'' soon enough. Just because frontmen are deemed attractive they flock like sheep to buy their CD's and talk about how amazing they are in school with one another.

The sudden trend of pop-punk bands should be looked at in the same way as mainstream pop, these bands are eye candy, like westlife or boyzone, something for girls to drool over and throw money at. It's seriously ruining the content and anyone with a working brain's opinion of kerrang as a whole.
