The Kerrang! Awards Fuelled By Relentless Energy Drink 2012 - The Winners!
Black Sabbath, Tenacious D, Mastodon and My Chemical Romance were some of the big winners at the Kerrang! Awards Fuelled By Relentless Energy Drink tonight (June 7).
Ozzy Osbourne and co walked away with the legendary Kerrang! Inspiration Award at the star-studded ceremony, held at The Brewery in East London, hosted for a fourth consecutive year by Slipknot/Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian.
The evening also saw Machine Head honoured with the Kerrang! Hall Of Fame award, legendary guitarist Slash take the Kerrang! Icon gong and The Blackout walk away with our special Devotion Award Sponsored By Relentless Energy Drink.
Other winners on the night included Mastodon grabbing Best Album for The Hunter, with the band accepting their award via video message as they are currently out on tour.
"Thank you Kerrang! Magazine for always supporting to us and being so nice to us," said drummer Brann Dailor. "Thank you to our fans for supporting us. We are sorry we can't be there with all you drunk bastards to accept it in person and drink with you!"
Meanwhile, My Chemical Romance were honoured with the Best International Band award.
"Thank you so much for our newest Kerrang! award," said Gerard Way via video message. "It is a huge honour!"
Among the other winners at the annual K! Awards ceremony were Tenacious D for the Kerrang! Service To Rock, You Me At Six (Best British Band) and Enter Shikari (Best Live Band).

I love AA, but Andy Biersack and Ashley Purdy are way hotter than Ben Bruce hands down. Personally, I agree with most people that BVB should have won most of the nominations. Personally, I thought the one that they won would have been least likely... it has a SUPER long video intro. Great video, but takes a few minutes just for the song to start. In any case, I don't think these Kerrang awards were fairly chosen, for anyone involved.

This page is a testament to how awful Kerrang has become. A swarm of tween fangirls throwing their toys out of the pram because their favourite "band" didn't win.
The problem is Kerrang encourages & actively tries to get these people to buy their magazine, so over time the quality of K! has slowly & now completely deteriorated.
You Me At Six, BVB, 30stm & every band of their ilk are garbage, manufactered to sell records to guillable kids who have crushes on the lead singers. They belong on Smash Hits & KISS not Kerrang!
My breath is wasted though, Kerrang will keep this crap going until they die, so my proposition is make them die, hit them where it hurts in their wallets and boycott the magazine.

Allah's spot on, i havent bought this laughable excuse for an alternative magazine for a long long time, but i was flicking through an issue from the late 90s earlier today and its crazy to see how far its fallen. To be honest, I think the only credible awards nowadays are the newcomer awards and the best album award based on the fact that all the others people just vote like a herd of sheep for the band with the greatest press coverage. I'm not even a fan of Mastodon, While She Sleeps or Falling In Reverse, but I believe that the awards they were given do atleast require some talent and dedication.

You people do realise the 'winners' of these awards are usually whoever received their invitation to attend the ceremony and realised they had something to flog (tour/album/etc) so showed up to get some coverage. That includes the bands who actually have talent that show up as well as the shite ones.

Again, if you'd read about the situation, you'd know that the guy responsible for killing someone actually killed himself before he could be convicted. Radke was on PROBATION, because of his involvement, but mainly because he was on drugs. He went to jail for violation of his probation. Not murder.
