Blink-182 cancel Brixton show

Blink-182 have been forced to cancel tonight's show at London's O2 Academy Brixton after bassist Mark Hoppus took ill following last night's show.

An official statement reads as follows: "It is with regret that tonight's Blink 182 show at London's O2 Academy Brixton has been cancelled. Unfortunately Mark Hoppus was taken ill at the end of last night's show and has been diagnosed with bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis.

"This is the last thing the band want to do, but on doctors advice today it has been highly advised that Mark cannot perform and the show can't go ahead."

The band cannot reschedule this show and fans are advised to contact their point of purchase for a refund.

Hope you get well soon Mark, The other shows on the tour were amazing including the 2 I went to (Newcastle 19th June and Manchester 24th July) that easily makes up for it. Get well soon :-)

Have to say this was such a let down. Not the being sick it's the canceling a few hours before with an announcement that "Doctor was called the night before and Mark was told to rest".

For me I won't bother again as had tickets for o2 but ticket company didnt send the tickets out and due to the constant rescheduling couldnt claim money back as has to be done after event has happened and within a certain period of time of buying! So lost over £100, then with brixton I've lost handling postage fee along with travel costs.

I'll stick with bands that actually show to gigs and treat fans properly

Gutted spent day in london travelled up from wales and they tell us at 4pm it was cancelled. Had to hang about until midnight to go home, such a let down, was so looked foward to it, why we were not told earlier i don't know. Having just seen tom delonge out in london an hour earlier, could have had a heads uP
