Hi Josh Fran-Fran-Fran-Jeeta from You Me At Six here! Brilliant issue of Kerrang as ever because its got me in it!!!!!!! The song that save my life was 'I'm Too Sexy' by Right Said Fred. I was drowning in a swimming pool and someone threw it in and I used it as a float. See, Kerrang readers, music can really save your life!!!!

If that really is Josh Fran-dickhead ... you're a cunt!

Posted by stu | August 14, 2012 4:04 PM | Reply to this

Yes Stu, this really is me, Josh Fran-Fran-Fran-Jeeta, from You Me At Six fame and the cover of every week of Kerrang magazine for the last six years. I'm sorry you don't like me, and I see your point. I will never release another song ever again.

How do I get this one magazine? Not the a subsricption.. Just this one. Also I live in Michigan..

Posted by Cynthia | August 14, 2012 6:36 PM | Reply to this

I hope that my chemical romance is in this issue!! i will be very unhappy if there not!

Posted by Anon | August 14, 2012 6:43 PM | Reply to this

@Josh, 2012 called, it wants you to fuck off.

Posted by Shaman Ngguenggonneddish | August 14, 2012 11:41 PM | Reply to this

My Chemical Romance better be in it!

Posted by Helena | August 15, 2012 3:13 AM | Reply to this

Y'know, if you don't like whats in the magazine, instead of bitching, moaning, exaggerating and spending someone's hard earned (I assume) money on something that you aparently don't want... Just shut up, and don't buy it.

And this is 111 songs that saved your life, of course MCR are going to be in there - that was meant with no ill feeling by the way.

Posted by Elena | August 15, 2012 8:01 AM | Reply to this

I'm not bashing any bands or their fanbases, but I will bash KERRANG. Same damn stuff that's in every issue, change the record. What happens when BVB or YM@6 aren't in the limelight anymore K? Are you going to just dump them on the side of the road like you did with Aiden?
It's useless complaining about BVB or any of these popular bands, when they go, new, more annoying ones will just take their place. I can see it a mile off, 6 years from now Kerrang will have screamo-dubstep hybrid bands or whatever is trendy with the kids plastered on the cover. It's simple really, just don't buy K! Rocksound has Greenday on the cover this month, go get that instead if you like reading journalism done properly & a good variety of bands.

Posted by dick dickerson | August 15, 2012 9:02 AM | Reply to this

@ Dick.. Oh ayee, I remember Aiden. Terrible what Kerrang! did to them, cover after cover.. now you'll be lucky to see them in the back pages. And they'll do it to While She Sleeps too and every other band that has hype behind them now. I don't mind Black Veil Brides.. some of the tunes of STW are decent, great car music. Same with YM@6, I don't dislike them as a band I never listen to them, but I'd never come on here and be a dick and say 'how shit they are'.. basically KERRANG! doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone bought the mag in the past. 5 years from now all you kids who buy kerrang! now will be doing the same.

Tickets to see MIW and meet the band? Too bad that doesn't include plane tickets and accomodation.

Hi minus you me at six, The Kerrang was amazing :D Love you BVB And a SWS poster :DD

Posted by Lois | August 16, 2012 8:07 AM | Reply to this

Ive mentioned Aiden in the past up here as an example of the kind of band that Kerrang would plaster over and over again as cover-stars celebrating "This generations kings of pain" "Your new favourite Band!", ,and all that- only to cast them aside when thier Conviction album failed to set the world alight the way Kerrang itself said it would. And I agree- in a few years most of the headliners today will be shoved aside and replaced by the new scene.

Anybody remember back in the early 00s? Kerrang couldnt decide if it wanted to be the NME or not, by backlashing nu metal in favour of The Strokes, and all these other useless garage bands beginning with "The", in the hope that one of them would have a Nirvana-esque impact. The Vines, anyone?? Didnt happen, and the coverage of those bands was dropped aswell.

But,unfortunatly thats how things are with magazines like this these days. They have to keep its current readership there by keeping the same bands circulating the covers. If you were to sit down with a member of the Kerrang staff, and ask them who they personally would put on the cover, youd get a variety of bands that just cant make the cover these days- but would have some years ago. Tis Sad but True-but the current stock of bands on the cover all the time are the ones selling the issues. So Kerrang now to play it safe by keepin git that way, and appease and appeal to the target audience.

Josh Fran-dickface likes O*e Dickrection ... he is more of a cunt than I thought!

I am never EVER buying Kerrang again after reading that!

I don't know why people are so upset, give it a year or two & people will be saying "black veil who?" & Andy will be lying in a ditch somewhere with a herion needle jutting out of his arm.

"Kerrang couldnt decide if it wanted to be the NME or not, by backlashing nu metal in favour of The Strokes, and all these other useless garage bands beginning with "The", in the hope that one of them would have a Nirvana-esque impact."

Are you seriously bashing The Strokes?? They may not be as 'hard' as most of the bands Kerrang covers but they are a fucking awesome band. First two LP's fucking gold, and patches of their 3rd and 4th are decent too with some brilliant rock tunes (Juicebox!). Seriously they are better than 90% of the bands Kerrang cover now.

Oh and The Vines were pretty decent too. And The White Stripes. Oh and The Libertines. Just because it's INDIE rock and not emo/hardcore rock doesn't make it crap.

I didnt mean to sound like I was slagging off The Strokes and those bands ya mentioned - I should have phrased that one better, sorry mate. Those bands did indeed have their moments and deserved success and praise-I recognise and respect the impact and impression that The Strokes had at the time. And your right- they are better than what ya see mostly in the mag these days!

I was using them as an example of how I felt that,at the time, Kerrang jumped on the bandwagon- A number of bands followed in the Strokes/White Stripes path only to fade out twice as fast --during that time Kerrang disowned the bands from the 80s and the nu-metal era and saturated the mag with the garage rock thing, the same way the NME was doing. And a couple of years later, that scene died down, and Kerrang has barely mentioned The Strokes since-and changed their format to suit the upcoming pop-punk brigade.

Ive been buying and collecting the mag since the early-mid 90s- I started getting it cos of Nirvana- my all time favourite band. Up until a few years ago, youd guarentee the Metallicas,Slipknots etc grabbing the cover, but theyd mix it up brillinatly with lots of other different bands from different styles making the cover too. I understand that they cant really take as many risks with changing the mould of cover-stars these days- cos of sales and all that, but Id like to see them mix it up a bit like they did back in the day.

I really do like Josh from YMAS. Music no matter from what kind of band/artist or genre. Someone's life was saved by that band/artist. I don't care if their life was saved by BVB, MCR, YMAS, or OM&M. They were saved by them who gave those people another reason to live, Music is a universal language! It's sad that people don't realize that anymore,

Why is everyone so against You Me At Six? They are my favourite band, and I buy the magazine because if the amount of stuff on You Me At Six, All Time Low and Paramore (my three favourite bands). If you don't like it, don't buy the magazine! All I know, is that as long as the magazine keeps them in it, I'm gonna buy it.

Alright, everyone shut the FUCK up about slagging off other people's favourite bands or bands they really like. Does anyone really give a shit? You like your music, someone else likes theirs so end of fucking discussion. Josh Francesci is great, so are You Me At Six and My Chemical Romance. That's my fucking OPINION!! If you have your own opinion, that's fine too but if it's slagging off someone else's band who may have helped them in some way, e.g. saved their life, you have no right to slag them off. Rant over x
