Kerrang! is saddened to report the death of No Use For A Name frontman Tony Sly. He was 41 years old.
Sly's passing was announced last night by his longtime label home, Fat Wreck Chords, who said: "It is with great sorrow that we must say goodbye to Tony Sly of No Use For A Name. We received a call earlier today [August 1] of his passing, and are devastated. We have lost an incredible talent, friend, and father - one of the true greats."
Fat Wreck Chords founder and NOFX frontman Mike 'Fat Mike' Burkett added: "One of my dearest friends and favourite song writers has gone way too soon. Tony, you will be greatly missed."
No cause of death has been confirmed at this time. Everyone at Kerrang! sends their most heartfelt condolences to Sly's family and friends at this time.
