Slipknot have been confirmed as the final headliner for Download Festival 2013.
The Iowans will close the main stage on Friday June 14, joining Iron Maiden (Saturday 15) and Rammstein (Sunday 16) atop the Donington Park bill.
Slipknot's set will mark their fourth appearance at Donington, their second as a headliner, and the first time since the passing of bassist Paul Gray in 2010.
The band's 2009 headline set has become something of Donington legend, and was released in July as part of the band's Antennas To Hell collection.
Download organiser Andy Copping added: "Slipknot's last appearance at Download has gone down in the festival's history as one of the best ever headline sets. God knows what they'll have in store for 2013 but I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll top the last one."
Check out next week's Kerrang! for an exclusive interview with Clown about his favourite Download memories, and what the band have in store for 2013...
