Nope, i'm out.
Sorry kerrang but this is too far
Just an extremely shit issue, ive not spoken up about the pretty poor issues the last few months but...
Nothing in this issue looks appealing to me
Probably wont buy kerrang ever again unless they change it up abit
Fuck you kerrang! you just lost someone who genuinely used to love your magazine

it seems like kerrang are just doing everything possible to shit on all the people who have been buying their magazine for years
nothing about this issue looks good
Kerrang now reminds me of Smash hits
Won't be buying this issue or any issue for the foreseeable future

Again, Kerrang has published an issue with nothing but teen girl bands, very few good bands. MCR, YMAS, Paramore, BVB, A7X and 30STM...A typical self-obsesed scene girl's faveourite bands.

To all the people on here who just write about how shit this magazine is, no one is forcing you to buy it. You don't have to post saying how much you don't like it, NO ONE CARES. Go get a hobby or something, you're just being pathetic.

MCR IS AWESOME, KEEP INVOLVING THEM IN KERRANG, PLEASE!

@Lucy

We're just commenting about what we think about it, if it was good then we'd comment about how good it is.

"NO ONE CARES" Well if you didn't care then why are you complaining about haters?

And MCR is a teen girl band for dumb kids who actually believe that they care about the fans when honestly they probably don't and just say it to look inspirational which'll make them money, because you're young and most likely between the ages of 9-16 you'll believe that they do care. All their fans do is put themselves in a depressive state and then once they've got over it they claim that it was MCR saved their life for attention, mainly on YT. My little sis is a huge fan of MCR, she's a fangirl of mostly their looks (like every MCR fan, they're mostly teen girls) and she once) WON'T STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM!

Everytime I'm in the same room as her our conversation subject is 'MCRMCRMCR' or 'Gee Waii is so hawwt' and now that they're in this mag EVERY SINGLE WEEK it's like I can't escape them. Thanks to her I've had to watch LOTMS (where Gerard lied about Getting clean, he's scratching behind his ear when he's talking about is sober story which is an indication that he's lying...Probably for publicity and she got me to watch an interview where he's high with the lead singer from the used in 2005 when he was meant to get clean in 04), interviews and I've had to listen to her ramble on about the band for ages

And I also thought that Gerard saying that he witnessed 9/11 was way farfetched, each time he mentions it he mentions that he was in a different place...So he lied about witnessing the deaths of nearly 3000 poor innocent people for a couple of bucks, it did help sell his band though but he still shouldn't have said it.

So MCR is a fake teen-girl boyband, people mostly appreciate them for their image and not their simple music (simpleguitarwork). Their only good album is their first. And in years time kerrang will ditch them like they did with HIM, Aiden, The Used (Kinda like those bands though). They need to mention bands like Led Zep and Black Sabbath.

@stu- Oh look, you're here AGAIN, complaining about how shit the magazine is. You must use the website more than ANYONE else on here, because you're here every week, without fail, with something to say. If you don't like it, get the fuck off here and stop complaining. Its not getting you anywhere, no one's really reading your comments, you're not changing anyone's taste in music and the only thing you're achieving is successfully wasting your time. So why don't you just take your bullshit somewhere where someone actually cares?

Somehow, you guys, fans or not, still speak about MCR. This is really funny. BTW I love them and I´m not a teeny. Ciao

Posted by Dan | October 10, 2012 4:08 PM | Reply to this

I have had enough of this. Kerrang, you truly are now beyond repair. But thats not what is really pissing me off right now. You are falsely advertising this issue. A7X mentioned as the first band in the feature? BULLSHIT, there is ONE tiny picture of M shadows, and a whole goddamn page on ymas, for fucks sake. Utterly ridiculous. Really dissapointed, I'd hoping Kerrang would pick itself up after the appauling year you've had. Switching to Metal Hammer from now on.

Posted by alex | October 10, 2012 4:18 PM | Reply to this

Think it's a bit ridiculous to class all these bands as 'teeny bopper' bands or whatever.
I'm 21 years old and YMAS are one of my favourite bands. You don't like a band based on your age, you like them based on your musical preferences.
You guys who are complaining you want more metal or Queen etc... why are you still buying Kerrang? It's been revolving around YMAS, ATL and BVB for quite a while now.
You should really go buy Metal Hammer, or maybe just google shit instead of wasting your money on magazines that you don't like.
Just a suggestion like.

Kerrang! Is a company. Of course they just want to make money, that IS the idea of business. If teen girls are buying the magazine then of course they're going to change it to suit that demographic. They'll do whatever it takes to make more business, they don't care about you, they just want money, just like every other company out there, so before you start complaining 'oh they just want money', take a step back and think one day you'll have to earn a living too.

Laughable excuse for an issue, I wouldn't wipe my arse with it.

All these boybands like YM@6 & BVB are an absolute joke, the girls who claim to love them are only jumping on a fad bandwagon that will slowly roll off the edge of a cliff in a year or two. Then, they will move on to a new band & worship the "hot" frontmen like incan gods & have mini shrines full of Kerrang manufactured posters.

the same people who like bvb and ym@6 are the same people rimming one direction & watching the X-factor while wearing hollister clothes. Vapid, attention seeking whores which kerrang loves to bum.

@Mia Kirk, Jesus fucking Christ, are you stupid? I know you may be ten but FOB split up AGES ago, and Kerrang! don't have the power to get them back together. Do your bloody research first. And, as for @Leah, THANK YOU FOR ACTUALLY HAVING A BRAIN.

I quite enjoyed the rehab article, and had more attention being given to more interesting stuff like that these days, and more diverse interviews with the other bands out there, then the justified rants from people out there would simmer down.

Because, lemmy telly ya, as somebody whose been reading the mag for almost 20 years, a few years ago, theres no way that Kerrang would have splashed out over 6 fucking pages of stupid silly photos of bands, that "they dont want you to see", as if its an important article.
Christ, its like a pop punk version of Heat magazine- and it collides with the more serious approach to journalism thats going on in the reviews section. All time Low score Low for being nice boy pop- yet Kerrang will continue to flood the pages week in week out with those same style of bands- because its stuck with the knowledge that its demographic wont by it, if they shake things up like they used to.

That whole feature in this weeks issue was a COMPLETE waste of fucking space and time. Pointless pages of puny pictures of bands that are supposed to be of interest. "Oh look" theres ym@6 making goofy faces" Jesus.

Meanwhile, Devin Townsend has just released an utterly superb album, "Epicloud"- and its full of bouncy, zany catchy dream rock. But he doesnt get the cover or coverage he deserves, because he doesnt look like the fucking singer from YM@6.

@stu- Well, to be honest, I think you're the one being a dick.
"Before you start telling me where to go, I know what is music and what isn't music, trust me!"
I didn't say that you didn't know what is/isn't music, I said you're not changing anyone's taste, nor do you have any right to try to. If you don't want people 'telling you where to go' stop being so whiny and fucking repetitive with your comments and stop slating music that some people clearly like. No one's asking what you listen to to take the piss, are they? So stop complaining & just don't read about what's in the issue, if you find it so offensive.

If Kerrang DO get Fall Out Boy back together it will be the greatest moment in rock music. If it happens I will subscribe

Buy Metal Hammer for your real metal stuff ... I get Kerrang for the weekly tour info coz I'm too lazy to visit loads of websites. It's not perfect but it's still cheaper than a pint.

Cant help but think that the reviewer gave All Time Low three Ks just out of sheer pity. All Time Low are shite, pure shite. No argument, no strops, no going off on one, no " I'm going to reply to Ryan and slag him off for writing such things", they are shite, pure, simple, blatant shite. End of story.

Posted by Ryan | October 12, 2012 6:34 PM | Reply to this

hey, shut the fuck up! there're a lot of boys who love 'em. If tell anything about Paramore or any other bands, blame yourself!

@Ryan I agree, it's so annoying that so many good artists get shit reviews but tweenage bands like MCR, BVB and ATL get great reviews.

Now I like all time low, but I have to agree that Kerrang! keep putting the same stuff in their magazine week after week after week and it's boring and uninteresting, at least it is to me. I don't think it's very fair to shove out other bands that are in a lot of cases better, just because it's not what sells. I know it's a company but I think they have forgotten to take into account the diversity of their readers some of which have been buying the magazine for years. All they are doing is losing custom, there's nothing wrong with switching up the issues so that its not a constant slew of paramore, BVB and such

@ -_-

I'm finding you and your love of that pile of shit YM@6 quite repetitive tbh, I know music and i'm afraid You Me At Whatever are not music ...

Posted by stu | October 15, 2012 11:25 AM | Reply to this

@stu
Again. I can't fucking stand YM@6 either. Never said I liked them. What I'm saying is that some people do like them (which has nothing to do with you) and I like a few of the bands that occasionally feature in Kerrang. What I'm saying is only repetitive cuz you make the same shitty point about You Me At Six in every comment, when that doesn't even fucking apply to me.. If you 'know' music and claim that Kerrang doesn't feature any, go somewhere that does.

Posted by -_- | October 15, 2012 6:09 PM | Reply to this

@Dan
Thanks. Kerrang has already claimed L'enfant Sauvage by Gojira as an early forerunner for album of the year. So why aren't such bands on the cover or featured more extensively? For the record I dig a variety of rock / metal genres so it's not that I would be biased towards any band or genre in any way. Motion City Soundtrack for example play a more radio friendly style of rock but hardly feature in the mag. Paramore on the other hand, who haven't released a cd for some years, seem to be hogging the covers and the features.

Posted by Ryan | October 15, 2012 8:49 PM | Reply to this

Its been said here many a time before, by people in general- including me, that the reason why Kerrang puts the Exact same bands over and over and over again on the cover and in the poster sections in because it reluctantly HAS to.

If you sat down with any of the staff, and honestly asked them who each one would really like to make the cover, you'd get an arsenal of awesome bands in answer, weather something as heavy as say, Gojira, or Down- or a maverick like Devin Townsend who pretty much does everything, In truth, most of the bands who grab a fistfull of Ks dont make the cover----- because they do not look like the likes of YM@6. Sad but True.

Lets be honest, if Baroness or Gojira - whose albums were recently very well received by Kerrang- made the cover, yes that would be cool , and yes, those bands would easily have made the cover some years ago on account of the music. But- would the issue sell as much as the one with Andy Biersack on the cover?? Nope.
Kerrang knows that all too well- so they gotta play it safe, by recycling the same bands all the time, and have these silly features like the "shocking pictures" nonsense to keep the kids happy.
Its not really Kerrangs fault- the audience just wont by it if they shake it up, like they used to.

@-_-

The repetiveness of such shit like YM@6, Paramore, All Time Low etc is getting slightly boring now, I agree with Jason, sad as I have to admit, but Kerrang is never gonna change anytime soon ...

Posted by stu | October 16, 2012 10:07 AM | Reply to this

Is it me, or is it always the same people coming on here to say how shit each magazine is? : / Thought you would've stopped buying it by now if you think that...
@Jason I agree with your points, it is a bit repetitive. Kerrang, time to shake it up a bit isn't it? Put someone new and completly random on the cover! That would be fun :)

Why does everyone say bands like YMAS are for 'fan girls'? Honestly I have never fan girled over a band. You choose music because you like how it sounds, not because you are a certain age or because you like how they look. Don't buy it if you do not like what is in it.

Posted by Chloe | October 22, 2012 9:50 PM | Reply to this

what the actual hell is this, kerrang magazine cant make every single reader happy can they everybody likes different genres of music and it i agree that some of the really crap bands get more fame and fortune than others but thats just the way it is, i think kerrang go for the bands that are more popular because lots of people like them, i really dont think there is any need for this whatsoever your all sad and obviously have nothing better to do with your life than sit and slag off bands on here just because you dont like them, i have to use kerrang magazine as an example for my diploma thats why im on here but honestly your all being abit dramatic theyve done so many good issues!!!!!!!!!!!!! BYE x
