The three jailed members of Russian punk band Pussy Riot have had their appeal case adjourned.
Maria Alyokhina, Nadezhda Tolokonnikovaand Yekaterina Samutsevich are in court once more, this time seeking to overrule the two-year jail sentences handed down to them in August.
The trio will now have to wait until October 10 for their appeal to be heard, although their families and legal representatives are fearful that moves to have the sentences quashed or shortened will fall on deaf ears.
Stanislav Samutsevich, Yekaterina's father, is quoted as telling news agency Reuters, "The sentence is predetermined; their repentance will not affect it in any way," in response to calls for them to apologise for the "punk prayer" earlier this year.
