Metalcore titans Underoath have announced that, after 15 years, they are to break up.
Confirming the news, frontman Spencer Chamberlain said: "It's sad to say that we feel like it's time to close this chapter, but we have never seen things more clearly. These have been the best years of my entire life, and I owe that to every single person who ever supported this band along the way. This wasn't a quick decision by any means. It's just time for us to move on."
The band will bring the curtain down on their time together with a 2013 farewell tour, which will be announced next week. November 6 will also see the release of Anthology 1999-2013, charting the band's history as well as delivering two new songs. The tracklisting for the release can be found below.
