Kerrang - please explain why you still bother reporting on this crap pop group!

So many local UK, and even European, rock and metal bands really need publicity through media like yourselves, but instead you devote your time to promoting shite American pop-punk bollax such as Parabore !

Good and fair points in the post above. I suppose Kerrang will claim that they support new bands through the one page upcoming talent feature. Trouble is , they never seem to follow things up well. For example they have raved about Kvelertak and Fearless Vampire Killers on those pages but never seem to cover them as much as they should. Paramore on the other hand have constantly been in the mag even when there wasn't a whiff of a new CD coming out. I'm not here to slag Paramore off but sadly because of a bigger fan base it makes business ( not music) sense to feature them constantly. It would be interesting too see what would happen if their fan base did dwindle mind.

@ryan and MPD
i understand what you're saying, being in a local band needing this kind of service it would be a positive change for me too. but, come on guys lets be realistic, kerrang! are going to sell what the public want to buy, and reading about these massive pop punk bands appeals to the public, after all, they just want to make money! i love reading kerrang, because i am into pop punk/metal/screamo music, and it iis a decant read. yes they should be advertising up and coming local bands, but all the paramore, all time low, youmeatsix that they bring out every week is because people do like reading about it and it makes them money!

What's a supposedly married man doing listening to tween boybands like Fearless Vampire Killers?

Posted by The Messiah | January 20, 2013 4:51 PM | Reply to this

Good band Messiah and marital status has nothing to do with it. Like a bit of everything and variety is the spice of life after all! Can't keep listening to my Acker Bilk collection for ever you know.

Bilk is the greatest.

Fair point in all of the comments above but there is no need to put down Paramore. They have done well in the music they have made and are getting better and better. Yes, Kerrang should help the more unknown bands of the world but Paramore is very popular and for those of you who are constantly against them, I'd like to see you create your own band and make it as popular as them.

People seem to forgot Paramore started out in 2004 as a small unknown band just like the rest, so what there now they should be punished for actually making it? If people don't like hearing about certain bands, its relatively easy don't click on the link!

@ Ray

It is mostly because people haven't forgot about the fact that Paramore are absolutely shit.
