This was a huge shock to me, I've been buying CDs since I was 16 I'm now 22 and will continue to for the rest of my life.

1) 50+
2) 45
3) HMV
4) To complete my collection
And I like to have the physical copy no need for backing up on a pc
5) Trying to find some bands I like Is very difficult!
6) 0% I have brought all of my music
7) no
8) I think that fewer people are buying music as a physical product because its too easy to get music illegally. Type in what you want on the net and up come a load of sites you can get it or free.

Maybe if HMV weren't such rip off merchants with their terrible prices then maybe they wouldn't be in this mess. I have sympathy for anyone losing jobs but no sympathy with what has happened to the company. There is nothing wrong with paying to download music when it is considerably cheaper.

Call me old fashioned but I have never downloaded anything in my life. I'm a sad get who likes the physical thing in my hand. Love artwork, reading lyrics, linear notes etc. I'm a total nerd for things like that but i dont give a flying fuck! Still cheaper to buy online than in an actual HMV shop.

1) About 30 or forty, maybe? Give or take.
2) All of them, I like to have the physical product.
3) Major High Street chain stores, independent stores, and other (Friends or at stalls at gigs)
4) All of the above!
5) I barely order online, except for pre-orders.
6) Perhaps 6% or 7%, mainly from my cousin!
7) Ilike to try before I buy!
8) I think fewer people are buying music as a physical product because it is a tiny bit harder to go out and face the Brrrrritish weather and buy the damn thing than to click some buttons and have the file downloaded straight into 'My Music'. I disagree with downloading it almost entirely as it isn't the same. People have lost the
feeling of clutching a brand new CD in the car all the way home before inserting it into their CD drive and listening to the words recorded onto the silver plate. My
entire genertion seems to believe that there is a better way.
There isn't.

1) About 8.
2) About half the physical object and the other half downloaded.
3) HMV and iTunes
4) Free poster, album art.
5)I don't have a music store nearby to be able to by them from.
6) None.
7) No, I find them annoying. I tried out Deezer, and it kept not having all of the bands that I wanted to listen to.
8) I think that fewer people are buying music as a people find it more convenient to just carry around whatever music they want a small hand held device

1) 20-30+

2) About half of these

3) iTunes, play.com or HMV

4) If it's an artist I really like, it's nice to have the art work or lyrics in the sleeve.

5) If I can't find it in a shop, or if it is considerably cheaper.

6) 25%

7) I use Spotify or We7 to hear new music I might not necessarily want to purchase.

8) It is cheaper and more convenient to purchase it in Mp3 format, especially with iPhone's/iPod's etc.
