You know Slam Dunk Festival is going to be one hell of a party this summer but with the addition of its latest round of acts, it looks set to be one of the festivals of 2013.
Joining the already mouth-watering bill at Slam Dunk Festival North, South and Midlands are Deaf Havana, King Prawn, Allister, Transit, Me Vs Hero, The Word Alive, Our Last Night, Jonny Craig and Yashin!
These festival appearances will mark Deaf Havana's first live shows of 2013 and will be among a select few opportunities to see them all year, while they're busy writing their follow up to 2011 smash Fools And Worthless Liars. According to a band statement, only Slam Dunk could lure the notoriously party-hard sextet out of the recording studio.
"We are really excited to get back to Slam Dunk," they collectively declared. "We kind of made a promise to not do much whilst writing and recording our new album but we always have an amazing time at Slam Dunk, and we cannot wait. Plus - the after show, well...bit of fun isn't it."
The new additions join previously announced bands All Time Low, Four Year Strong, Sleeping With Sirens, The Skints, Pierce The Veil, The Early November, We Are The Ocean, The Wonder Years, Memphis May Fire, Streetlight Manifesto, Andrew McMahon, Senses Fail, Woe Is Me, Polar Bear Club, Man Overboard, The Summer Set, Mallory Knox, MC Lars, Fireworks, The Story So Far, Handguns and Hands Like Houses.
The newly expanded three-day bash will take place at Leeds University, The Forum, Hatfield and Wolverhampton, Civic from May 25-27. Tickets for the festival and after-party are available via Slamdunkmusic.com. Check local listings for details of Slam Dunk Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
