Chris Cornell Biopic Black Days Will Begin Filming Next Month
Black Days, starring John Holiday, is "based on true events about the last days in the life of grunge music icon Chris Cornell".
A new movie based on the last days of Chris Cornell's life will begin filming in September.
The biopic, Black Days, is "based on true events about the last days in the life of grunge music icon Chris Cornell" according to Backstage.com, and will be produced by LA company AmeriFilms LLC/Road Rage Films.
In keeping with the current situation regarding coronavirus, guidelines will be followed on set and filming will be done "in small groups only". So far, it has been announced that John Holiday (Walk The Line, CMT's Sun Records) will star in Black Days, but not much more information is known yet about it – though if you're an actor, you can apply for various roles such as 'Doctor', 'Hotel Maid', 'Road Manager', 'Musician', 'Various Crowd/Roadies', and even 'Young Chris'.

Recently, on what would have been the late Soundgarden frontman's 56th birthday, Chris' previously unreleased cover of Guns N' Roses' 1989 single Patience was unveiled.
“One of Chris’s engineers recently reminded me of Chris’s recordings from sessions in 2016, which he still had. Patience was one of them,” wrote Chris' widow, Vicky Cornell, on Facebook. “That recording was inspired by our daughter Toni, who was a huge GNR fan and asked her dad to teach her to play it on the guitar. His cover is so hauntingly beautiful; it brought it all back in a rush of bittersweet memories.
“His birthday seemed the perfect time to share this and celebrate Chris, his voice, music , stories and art. A man is not dead while his name is still spoken… and, through his art, an artist’s soul still burns as bright upon all those that look up to him and his memory. Releasing music that was special to Chris keeps a part of him here with us – his heart and his soul. His love and his legacy.
“The memory of your smile still makes my heart, broken as it is, beat as fast as the first time we met. We love you Chris, Happy Birthday.”
