We had a minute with Amity guitarist Dan Brown recently, and figured we'd ask him about his year and what his favourite 2017 albums are because, y'know, that's what you do around Christmas time when you work at a music magazine.

"It’s been a wild and fun filled year for us!" said Dan of the band's 2017. "Lots of touring, lots of great shows, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year. We all have such an eclectic mix of music that we enjoy. It has been nice this year to be constantly inspired by other’s talents, and to be moved by the art they are creating all over the world."

"Scum Fuck Flower Boy by Tyler, The Creator was my favourite album of the year. It’s been a long time since I’ve memorised the words to an artist's full album and this is one of those rare instances. From beginning to end, it’s filled with huge bangers that I constantly turn up in my car and sing along to. His voice is so violent and unique sounding, and I like that his lyrics at times are very antagonistic."

Beyond Tyler, Dan's other favourite albums of the year were:

Kendrick Lamar - Damn
Code Orange - Forever
The Midnight - Nocturnal
Lana Del Rey - Lust For Life
Deez Nuts - Binge and Purgatory
Little Dragon - Season High
Thy Art Is Murder - Dear Desolation
Fergie - Double Dutchess
Taylor Swift - Reputation

A pretty eclectic lineup, no? We've made a playlist of this so you don't have to:
