Album review: New Found Glory – Listen Up!
New Found Glory fight pain with hope with some of their best songs in years – and you’ll grin till your face hurts.
Ahead of next month’s Listen Up! album, NFG have just shared a new single – Beer And Blood Stains – about “an old venue we used to play when we first started…”
New Found Glory have dropped a brand-new single, Beer And Blood Stains.
The track is taken from the pop-punk heroes’ forthcoming album Listen Up!, which is due out on February 20 via Pure Noise.
Guitarist Chad Gilbert explains that, “This is the heaviest song on the record but it almost sounds like a party. At least that was the goal. It’s about an old venue we used to play when we first started. We’d play there pretty much every weekend. It was a lot of hardcore bands.
“Looking back now it was a dangerous place… so many fights and craziness – illegal things that wouldn’t fly now. This song is about how much fun we had, but not realising how close to the edge we were.”
