Slipknot have shared a new image on Instagram, seemingly hinting at the identity of their new drummer.

The masked metal legends are scheduled to play their first show of the year next month at Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, and it seems rehearsals are already underway with their new sticksperson, replacing Jay Weinberg who departed last November.

The photo, simply captioned "Rehearsal" shows a broken drumstick lying on the ground. It's not really a whole lot to go on, but internet sleuths have highlighted that the stick bears a striking resemblance to those used by former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande.

However, it could also be any drummer who uses Promark sticks, and we know how much The 'Knot love to keep people guessing...

Fans will get their first glimpse at Slipknot's new drummer when they headline Sick New World next month, which kicks off their 25th anniversary tour, where they will be playing their iconic self-titled debut album in full.
