As It Is Have Postponed Their Cardiff Show Tonight

As It Is have been forced to cancel their show in Cardiff tonight (March 15) due to vocalist Patty Walters needing emergency treatment to a blood clot in his shoulder. However the band are currently looking into rearranging the show.

The band posted the following statement:

"Hi everyone,

It pains us to have to do this, but unfortunately tonight's show in Cardiff will not be going ahead. Please take a moment to read the below to understand why.Yesterday, on our day off in Cardiff, Patty woke up to find his right arm swollen and discoloured. He immediately checked in to A+E in Cardiff, and after a long day of tests and scans was diagnosed with a blood clot in his shoulder.

He has been back in Cardiff hospital this morning consulting with a specialist team, and it is under their instruction that we are making the decision not to play tonight. This is not a cancellation, but a postponement. We are already working on rescheduling the show, and all tickets -general admission and VIP -  will be honoured at the rescheduled date.

We obviously are very sad to not be able to play for you tonight, but the health of our brother Patty is our top priority and we must do what we can to support him. We hope that you all will join us in wishing him all the very best for a quick recovery, and that you all understand the complexity of this situation.

At this point in time, nothing changes with regards to London tomorrow, but we will of course let you know if this show is also going to be affected.

Please give us a moment to work out the details of the rescheduled Cardiff date; we appreciate your patience and value you all a great deal.

Thanks for listening,
Ben, Ali, Foley and Patty
As It Is xxxx"

We'd like to wish Patty a speedy recovery.

In the mean time, WSTR, Like Pacific and Grayscale - who are supporting As It Is - have joined forces to put on a free show in Cardiff tonight. The venue is still yet to be confirmed, but keep your eyes out on WSTR's Twitter feed.
