Creeper Return With New Single, Born Cold, And Announce BABYMETAL Support Slot

Fresh from an epic comeback show on Friday night, Southampton punk favourites Creeper have returned with new music to boot.

The band's brand-new single goes by the name Born Cold, and is the first to be taken from their forthcoming second album – the follow-up to 2017's Eternity, In Your Arms.

Of the new song, Creeper say: “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. This is Born Cold.”

Frontman Will Gould adds: “This song is the introduction of one of the more villainous characters from our new story. It was inspired by what the Thin White Duke was for David Bowie – a more selfish, narcissistic character.”

And of the writing and recording sessions of album number two – which took place in Hollywood as well as Southampton – Will continues:

“Creeper was always about theatrics and cinema; as much about the aesthetic as the music. So we took it to Hollywood and made it in the shadow of some of our favourite films, where some classic records have been made, and let it become something else. In Born Cold, you can hear the DNA of the band and listen to it be transformed with the addition of some of the new elements that we’ve added to the process.”
