The Windy City's finest are hitting their stride.

Julia Of Ratboys Gets Indie-Punk Right On New Track

Chicago’s Ratboys are fucking wicked. Earlier in the year, the duo comprised of vocalist Julia Steiner and guitarist David Sagan put on an indie-punk masterclass earlier this year with their album GN and now they’ve released a previously unheard version of one of Julia's solo tracks, Light Pollution.

The song itself is a floaty demonstration of Julia's impeccable knack for melody, driven by heavy wristed acoustic guitar and lyrics reminiscent of Built To Spill’s fantastical daydreaming. This version fits brilliantly as a follow up to GN’s wistful melancholia and will tide us over perfectly until we get a chance to see the band in the UK.

Go pick this up: get yer physical, one-time cassette tape pressing here and yer digital download here.

Also, seriously, go and check out GN.
