The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire Forced To Close

London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire has been forced to close due to structural damage, with all foreseeable gigs being moved across the capital.

A number of upcoming gigs have been forced to change venue while the venue investigates the potential damage to iconic London venue. Clutch, One Ok Rock, Fields Of Nephilim, Black Star Riders and Hawkwind have all seen their shows moved to new locations around the capital. “Following a formal inspection of the roof of O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, owned and operated by Academy Music Group, on Friday 4 December 2015, the venue was closed as a precaution for further inspections and safety checks from Monday 7 December 2015.

The following shows and events at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire will be affected due to essential maintenance work.

Please note that all tickets will remain valid until further notice for any postponed or rescheduled shows, and any ticketing enquiries should be directed to your point of purchase.

The Courteeners’ gig on the evening of Friday 4 December 2015 was postponed until further notice.

The Grade II listed O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, is a 112-year-old theatre designed and built for musical entertainment and variety. A much-loved and iconic venue, it hosts over 180 events per year, attracting some 250,000 visitors.

We continually invest in all of our theatre venues. Safety and amenities for our customers and staff is paramount and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience this unexpected maintenance and repair may cause.

We are undertaking remedial works and aim to be fully open within a matter of weeks.

Our thanks to all fans, artists and promoters for their cooperation, it is sincerely valued and appreciated, especially at this extremely busy time.

Live Nation presents One OK Rock – RESCHEDULED AND VENUE CHANGE- This show will now take place at O2 Forum, Kentish Town on Wednesday 9 December. All tickets remain valid.

Friday 11 December

Academy Events presents Black Star Riders – VENUE CHANGE – this show has moved to the Scala on the same day. All tickets remain valid.

Saturday 12 December

Live Nation presents Clutch – VENUE CHANGE – This show has moved to O2 Academy Brixton on the same day. All tickets remain valid.

Saturday 19 December

Academy Events presents Fields of the Nephilim – TO BE ADVISED AND VENUE CHANGE – This show is moving to O2 Forum, Kentish Town, date to be decided. Customers are advised to retain their tickets until further notice.

Sunday 20 December

The Gig Cartel presents Hawkwind – VENUE CHANGE – this show has moved to the Coronet on the same day. All tickets remain valid.”
