Watch Lonely The Brave’s New Video

Lonely The Brave have released an atmospheric video for their brilliant new song.

Cambridge alt.rock sensation Lonely The Brave have released a soaring new song called Black Mire. Taken from their highly anticipated, as-yet-untitled second album – which is due before the summer – the song confirms that the band have lost none of the power of their critically acclaimed 2014 debut The Day’s War. Expect all of the feels, basically. The song is the fruit of LTB’s work with producer Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys) and is also notable for its atmospheric video which shows their usually shy singer David Jakes giving an extremely rare performance directly to the camera.

Speaking about the track, guitarist Mark Trotter says: “I really wanted the whole thing to sound like some kind of gigantic billowing machine; industrial, bleak, thick and almost suffocating through the choruses. It’s fair to say when the music for this track was first written we were in a pretty dark place mentally, which I guess is reflected in the weight of the music; but as always seems to be the way with our tracks, there are glimmers of light, too. Not a lot, granted, but it’s there.
