Watch Papa Roach’s New Video For American Dreams

Papa Roach have unveiled the video for their track American Dreams, taken from the Californian quartet’s ninth studio album, the May 2017-released Crooked Teeth.

Said album charted top 20 in both the US and UK, and American Dreams is the fourth single to be plucked from its ten tracks. Watch the video below.

“America is struggling, America is divided, America is hurting right now,” says the band’s vocalist, Jacoby Shaddix, who puts in an intense performance in the new video. “We’re at a fever pitch of confusion, smoke and mirrors, blatant lies. The American Dream is on the chopping block.”

“My father is a Vietnam veteran,” he adds. “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the disintegration of the American family are things I’ve dealt with personally. I know other people relate.” And these are the themes that run through American Dreams, the song inspired by the political landscape of the US, and the arguments that peppered the 2016 Presidential election.

The video for American Dreams was shot in Sacramento, Shaddix’s hometown. The band calls at a whole host of other cities when they tour from the middle of September.
