AFI share two new songs, Dulcería and Far Too Near

AFI release Dulcería – which was co-written by Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan – and Far Too Near from upcoming album Bodies.

AFI are continuing to share fresh material from their highly-anticipated new album Bodies, unveiling two new songs: Dulcería (with a beautiful accompanying video) and Far Too Near.

The former was co-written by Smashing Pumpkins genius Billy Corgan, with guitarist Jade Puget revealing of the collaboration, “Billy and I have a great creative connection when we’re writing together. It was inspiring to work with such a talented and legendary songwriter and Dulcería is a testament to that."

Frontman Davey Havok cryptically adds of the track: "Dulcería suggests if you spend too much time in the candy store you may end up stuck to the floor."

Alluding to what's to come from Bodies as a whole, Jade reveals, "Anyone who knows our catalog knows that no two records really sit together. Some sit a little closer, maybe. We do certain things, just by virtue of who we are, that are consistent, but those things come about organically. Every time we do something, I have to judge it on its own merits. Some fans are going to judge a new album, or a new song, based on what's come before. But as artists, we can't do that, because it would only hinder our creativity."

Bodies is due out on June 11 via Rise Records.
