Angels & Airwaves have released another infectious new track, Timebomb

Ahead of sixth album LIFEFORMS, listen to Angels & Airwaves' new song Timebomb – the "emotional equivalent of an armed device about to blow" according to Tom DeLonge.

As Angels & Airwaves gear up to unveil long-awaited sixth album LIFEFORMS on September 24, the band have shared one final song before release: the infectious Timebomb.

Frontman Tom DeLonge explains that the track is "a special song to me because it represents the emotional equivalent of an armed device about to blow. I think everyone can relate to the pressure of life bearing down on a young teenage heart."

Tom excitedly adds of the LP as a whole: “It’s taken me a long time to present my art in the way I envisioned over a decade ago. LIFEFORMS is the first part of what I saw could be possible then."

Speaking to Kerrang! about AVA's sonic evolution and their often ’80s-inspired sound these days, Tom told us: "Some bands start out super punk, then mellow [out] as they get older. They want to play music that’s more like what they listen to [to relax] at home. This band started out atmospheric, though, so it made sense to go more raw and more edgy. It felt like to push the Angels & Airwaves’ boundaries literally meant to go back in time!”
