Chris Cornell's daughter Toni honours 30th anniversary of Temple Of The Dog's Hunger Strike

"I’m so proud of what you created, who you are and everything you believed in," Toni Cornell writes to her much-missed father, Chris.

Chris Cornell​’s daughter Toni has re-shared her beautiful 2020 cover of Temple Of The Dog​’s Hunger Strike to mark the iconic single's 30th anniversary.

Toni originally posted performed a moving rendition of the track for a COVID-19 relief benefit, but has now re-posted the cover to celebrate three decades of the supergroup’s – featuring her late father, plus Pearl Jam​’s Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and guest vocalist Eddie Vedder – most well-known track.

"Hunger Strike was released 30 years ago today," Toni writes today. "It’s not only one of the most iconic songs of all time but one of my personal favorites. I recorded it for Music Lives to raise money for COVID relief in April 2020 and in tribute to my dad who would have been the first to do everything he could to help. (Full song in reel)."

She continues: "I love you daddy and I’m so proud of what you created, who you are and everything you believed in. This song represents all of that to me."
