Courtney Love says there will "absolutely not" be a Hole reunion: "You guys have gotta get over it"

Despite their old manager asking "once a year" about a Hole reunion, Courtney Love says it's "just not gonna happen".

The potential return of Hole has been on everyone's lips for a good few years now, with Courtney Love herself even alluding to the band getting back together in a deleted social media post. However, in a new interview, the vocalist has completely shut it all down.

Previously, Courtney told The Guardian in May 2019 of a potential Hole reunion: "We are definitely talking about it. There’s nothing wrong with honouring your past; I’ve just kind of discovered that. If you don’t, people will rewrite history and you will become an inconvenient woman."

But now she emphatically tells Vogue that it won't be happening.

"No, absolutely not," Courtney says. "And you guys have gotta get over it. Our old manager Peter Mensch calls once a year to ask about a reunion: 'Hey, just doing my thing I do every year with you and Jimmy Page [of Led Zeppelin].' And I’m so honoured to be in that company, but it’s just not gonna happen."

However, Courtney's relationship with her former Hole bandmates still seems to be going strong, with her and Melissa Auf der Maur talking "every day".

"We’re all really good friends, and Melissa and I are especially close – we talk every day," she reveals. "But Eric [Erlandson] is kinda off the grid right now – I think he’s in Japan literally becoming a monk. I’m not even kidding. Melissa, Patty [Schemel], and I think he’s become a monk or something on that level of asceticism."

Courtney has also shared the first in a new video series, Bruises Of Roses, with Big Moon's Juliette Jackson. Check out California Stars below:
