Creeper have released a brilliant animated video for their brand-new single, Be My End.

The track comes ahead of the release of the goth-punks' new album Sex, Death & The Infinite Void on July 31, and follows previously-released singles Born Cold, Annabelle, Cyanide and All My Friends.

“Be My End is the opening song on our new album Sex, Death & The Infinite Void,” explains frontman Will Gould. “Thematically it introduces the ‘apocalyptic romance’ that the album deals in.

“The music video marks the first time the band have used animation to tell its story. Calvary Falls is realised in its full glory as our narrative hurtles towards its conclusion. This is the band in a way you’ve never seen it before.”

Explaining the Sex, Death… storyline to Kerrang!, Will reveals, “It’s about a small town in America, based on Dunsmuir [in Siskiyou County, northern California, with a population of fewer than 1,700], and about our feelings of being Englishmen in America and feeling alienated in a lot of ways.

“We decided to encapsulate that with this character from another world, an angel who falls to earth, who’s an outsider in a small town and who falls in love with a woman, while learning to be human and feel again. That’s based on feelings I had being on tour, especially the Warped Tour, where I was stuck in a shell, struggling to emote and ingratiate myself, which was odd for me.”
