Green Day to share previously-unreleased 1994 performance on limited-edition vinyl

Green Day are putting out a never-before-pressed 7" from their 1994 BBC Radio 1 Evening Session performance through the band's own Oakland Coffee.

Green Day have announced a new limited-edition 7" vinyl release through the band's own Oakland Coffee.

Their new two-song record is taken from a 1994 performance for the BBC Radio 1 Evening Sessions, with live recordings of fan-favourites She and 2,000 Light Years Away available for the first time (there's a teaser below and it sounds ace).

“Over the years we’ve always looked forward to doing The BBC sessions," says bassist Mike Dirnt. "All of our favourite artists have done them. We knew these recordings would come out one day and be something special."

Speaking of Oakland Coffee, Mike told the company recently that he was looking forward to "New music… and unknown adventures", suggesting that even more new music could be in the works following the release of February’s Here Comes The Shock and May’s Pollyanna. Bring it on!
