KING 810 frontman David Gunn says he attended U.S Capitol protests to film a music video

David Gunn claims that he was on the steps of the Capitol Building during the Washington riot to film KING 810's next music video.

Following internet speculation yesterday (January 14) that KING 810's David Gunn was at the January 6 protests in which supporters of Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol, the frontman has confirmed that he was in attendance in Washington – "on the steps" of the building – claiming that he was there to film the band's next video.

"I’m the singer of the most hated band in America… where else would I be?" he said on Instagram, sharing a statement in response to a news story on Metal Injection that asked: 'Is This KING 810's David Gunn Spotted At The Capitol Protests?'

"Sorry to disappoint everyone but I cannot also admit to being a racist, bigot, homophobe, sexist, fascist, alt right (or whatever you whack jobs are on this week) etc. etc," David continues. "I appreciate the compliments on my jacket however it is not for sale (altho our new album is)…

"I was not trying to keep this under wraps," he adds. "As you can see I’m swagged the fuck out with no mask in front of 100 cameras because I’m doing nothing wrong. The Feds have phoned me already and there isn’t a single image of me 'rioting' or going inside the building. I’m not as dumb as my hairstyle suggests.

"I couldn’t care less if you stop following me or stop listening to my music because I never cared to begin with. (see Red Queen)"

While it doesn't appear this new KING 810 video from the Capitol is out yet, in the meantime you can watch Red Queen from October 2020 as per David's statement…

The news follows members of Iced Earth declaring that they do not support “riots or the acts of violence that the rioters were involved in” after Jon Schaffer was photographed storming the Capitol. Jon is reportedly currently wanted by police in connection with these events.
